From his website:

"Like Colin Powell and others with a military background, I oppose the war in Iraq. American military personnel are being asked to perform a mission they are not trained for. America's armed forces were trained to seek and destroy the enemy and move on. They are not trained to be the world's police officers, nor should they. The United States should NOT cut and run. I think political and military leaders should accelerate training program for Iraqi citizens and soldiers, even training them at bases outside their country. And for every Iraqi soldier trained and deployed, one American soldier should come home. It's that simple. We can not fight someone else's fight. All we can do is to put them in a position to determine their own future.

The other problem I see with the war in Iraq is that it has distracted our nation's leaders from real terrorist threats and our preparedness. Hurricane Katrina pointed this out all too clearly."

He apparently is closer to a Powell Republican, than a Rumsfeld Republican, or Bush, or even McCain, as far as Iraq is concerned.

I'd say your best chance is that voters confuse you with the football player.

Well color me stupid...I always thought Eric Dickerson the car dealer was Eric Dickerson, the former Colt! I learned something new today! :^)

(And if I still lived in Indy, I would sure be giving him my support. Carson needs to go!)

I know one thing we can use from all of you that can take or have time on the 7th.

Help us at the polls to get the word out. We need folks to pass out literature at many Dem-dominated precincts. Because we really need a some crossover Dem votes to have a comfortable margin of victory in this gerrymandered district.

If you want to help on the 7th please go to the campaign website above and click on "volunteer" and indicate you want to help on Election Day.

SATURDAY CAMPAIGN UPDATE

We started bright and early this morning, we visited a bookstore to attending a booksigning by a local author who wrote a biography on L. Keith Buhlen, whom many long-time "old school" Indiana GOP'ers will remember very well. We received a round of applause from the assembled GOP crowd there.

We then attended a halloween festival in the Irvington neighborhood and spent almost 2 hours there meeting and shaking hands with the assembled masses. A lone Julia Carson supporter was putting their "buttons" on little kids from her little booth table. Eric was getting lots of support from the crowd and handed out over 20 yard signs to people who would come up to him and ask for one. The response was phenominal, and this was just by walking among the crowd and not standing at a booth all day just handing out items to people who would stop by.

After lunch we then went to a small private college on the eastside of Indianapolis which was putting on a Gospel sing. Eric shook lots of hands and was received very well in what conventional logic says is an overwhelming Democratic area.

ONWARD TO VICTORY ON NOVEMBER 7TH!!

10 days to go.

Things keep looking up for this race. Julia Carson has not dropped any new bomb shells or stepped up any Radio ads and has no TV ads.

The democrats are worried that she has dropped a 20 pt lead in the polls to just 5 pts since early Sept.

Any help Eric an get - moral or any other type - the better off we will be.

T-Minus 34 hours and counting...

Until we make history.

The polls close at 6 PM EST tomorrow night and the counts will begin, and the results of the hard work of Eric Dickerson's campaign will show. We are going to take this district and give the residents of Indianapolis what they deserve - REPRESENTATION IN CONGRESS!!

Julia Carson claims she's brought "billions and billions of money" into the district. Where is it? She invites people to check her "Congress voting record". We have. There is nothing to be proud of there. All ultra-liberal socialist votes.

It's time to retire Julia.
