I didn't forget Allen - I ignore him, because he is his own worst enemy. He needs no one but himself to undermine any effort towards the White House. Same with Brownback, Frist and Huckabee.
I don't understand your last sentence. Who is the winner agreeing with you 50%? and the loser agreeing with you 80%?
Don't hold me to specific numbers. I might agree with Romney on 50 percent of the issues, though it may be more since I still don't know that much about him. I haven't heard anything about him I don't like so much I wouldn't vote for him and many things I do like. Allen I might agree with more on the issues (or not), but the main thing is to win the election. We've got justices retiring and I do not want the Democrat nominee choosing their replacements. I like Romney's demeanor. He comes across as more 'presidential', which is very important nowadays.
Also, I mention Allen because his name comes up among what people conservatives might support. He seems to be the favorite here at FR. Brownback and Huckabee are also mentioned. Frist is nowhere close. I don't have much confidence in any of them as far as winning the election. Nov. 2008 is still a long way off, though.
