Stabenow isn't necessarily safe. She narrowly won in 2000 but won't have the benefit of the get out the vote effort of a presidential race this time around. Instead she will be on the ticket with the Democrat governor who at best is running neck and neck with the Republican challenger. Stabenow's numbers would look different if her challenger was known...but that won't happen until next Tuesday.
