I dunno, it just seems to me that a lot of the noise I hear about Harris is 'inside baseball' among the sort of political insiders who view the electorate as a giant weather map. The history of that sort of thing isn't all that good. It's what Dick Morris sells; how often is he right? How often are any of those guys right?
As for the general election poll, I'm old enough to remember that this far away from the election, the media had Mondale tied with Reagan and Dukakis beating Bush. They always do that. Are they showing a single Republican ahead this year? Usually they don't do that until the day before the election, when they say it's "too close to call" (like they did the day before the first Reagan landslide). I know that the moonbats who believe in President Gore hate her guts for certifying Bush's victory, but surely Florida does not have that many moonbats. How could her negatives possibly be that high? It doesn't make any sense unless it's just more Media Madness in pursuit of self-fulfilling prophecy. |

This family is voting for Harris.
She is the real deal.
Thanks, unicorn.
I think it's great that Carole Jean Jordan came out so quickly about the leaked letter. And that we now know that Chairman Jordan said that she never expressed concerns about the Harris campaign but rather the race overall against the incumbent.
As you know the FL GOP cannot endorse anyone before the Primary which Katherine will win.....then the Party will officially get behind her.

This is the same treatment the demorats are giving Joe Lieberman, on of the better members of thier party.
It is ineteresting to see how the so called party lines
treat thier former hero's.
Politicians are the true gnashers of teeth and backstabbers.
Katherine Harris went to the wall for the party when she took the step of putting George W Bush first and herself and her career, second when as secretary of state signed him on as President while they were still counting (Chads)!
The Wolves were at her door, and she carried on and fought the good fight, and we won.
Now, for some good old backroom boys club, they are trying to hang her out to dry.
I for one will back her till the end, because she proved to me that she has the courage and will to defend our nations values.
Apparently, some in the party lack her integrity, as well as some who are posting here.

GIVE 'EM HELL HARRIS! This Jordan woman is nothing but an RNC flunky, getting paid to bash other successful people. She couldn't get elected trash collector on her own.
To: Nick Danger
Normally I would agree. But there has not been one single poll having her anywhere in range of coming close to beating him. Also her campaign is just totally screwed because of the state and national party not supporting her and saying she can't win and also because off the way she is running her campaign. I would love for her to pull a upset and beat Nelson. With everything that has happen with her campaign there is no way that is going to happen. If she wins the primary then we can only hope for a miracle to happen and her campaign totally turn around. It would be nice but I doubt it.

You keep repeating this BS but you and the Harris bashers never mention the fact that Superman Jeb and the other FL GOP heavy hitters sat on the sidelines.
To: Nick Danger
Nick: I can tell you that the FL conservative grassroots are with Harris and we will GOTV for her.
As you say it is way too early and things will change when Floridians learn the truth about this faker:

Media Madness in pursuit of self-fulfilling prophecy....
An apt description of what the very liberal FL press is trying to accomplish.
Good news is that true FL conservatives are onto their game. They did it 2004 against JEB when they touted the other McBride!
They believe that repeating the same spin will eventually accomplish their agenda! However, the FL GOP is well organized & well financed and Harris can win!

Nobody polled me...why is that?
I want Harris.
That is the person I will vote for, for the office of Senator.
And I will actually vote.
You can poll all the RINOs and liberals who ignorantly think they have accomplished something important by answering phone solicitations or internet "polls".
Meanwhile, I vote on all election days, every single one of them, in which I am eligable to vote.
I also highly encourage all my friends and acquaintances to do the same.
And in my little circle of political influence, Republicans do not vote for "evil" RINO's in any primary, under any circumstances.
For that is how we, the people, have been reduced to the miserable state of voting not for a representative government, but for the lessor of whatever two evils the two dominant political hierarchy unions deam acceptable.

Harris supportes were very quick in starting to trash the GOP in on this thread as well. Big difference - I criticized the elitist, back-stabbing, country club Republicans who are using a whispering campaign (and failing miserably, I might add) against Harris. That doesn't translate into me hating the GOP overall.

Yes, she certainly did show her true grit under tremendous pressure and personal smear campaign fron the Gore camp and their media cohorts.
She did her duty and she followed the FL election laws in 2000.

Harris doesn't need Dole and the NRSC anyway. She has her supporters.
And you used to support Harris unabashedly. What happened?
To: Nick Danger
You're correct in your assesment of all this polling data. The media has been after Harris since 2000. It's all the gutless RINOs that have caved to media pressure and skewed polling that has scared people away from Harris. The media has been relentless with their coverage of this race. They haven't let up on Harris for one week. Many of us here predicted this before she even decided to run. It was going to happen to any front runner for the Senate. It's happening in every state right now as I type this. Republicans are being attacked by a full court media press.
Republicans still have a majority in this state and that is not going to change in the next election cycle. As long a Republicans show up to vote, we will win.
Personally I think having McBride in the race makes this better for the GOP. It will legitimize the race a bit. He won't win because he's a ambulance chasing lawyer, but he should do well for his first time running for office.
To: JulieRNR21
She did her job in 2000 just like any Secretary of State should have done. She followed the laws of Florida. I am not going to vote for someone only because they did thier job or on one issue alone. I will vote for someone who I agree with the most on the issues all around, who is a Conservative and who can also win in the general election. The only candidate in this race who can possibly do that against Nelson is Will McBride.
Have you even gone to his website and check out what he stands for? If you did you would see he is just as conservative as Harris. Or are you so set on Harris that you refuse to check out the other candidates.

In fact the best thing you can say about him is that he is John Edwards with a (R) after his name. It gets better. McBride is only 33 years old. He's MY age. He's a baby in the political sense. He's too green. He's a laywer. The guy simply has no chance.

I see the writing on the wall . The media will always be there to hatchet Republicans , and as i've said before, Republican candidates have an obligation not to hand the MSM the shovel with which to bury them with .
Harris keeps handing them ammo and her poll numbers haven't moved at all. These poll numbers are way too far apart to dispute . If the polls were within 10 points or less , I'd say it was media spin . If our side stays in denial and blames the media for our own candidates failures , we will surely lose .
Having said all that , if Harris wins the primary , I will fully support her , there will be no other choice .

I didn't know John Edwards was a Conservative and NRA Life member So is Harris, and she has the record to back it up.
Why do you guys insist on throwing away your vote on no-name, token Republicans because the liberal media says so?
To: FloridianBushFan; Extremely Extreme Extremist
Why don't you copy something from his website and start a thread for him? You do know how to post a thread, don't you?
You can ping all the Harris bashers to it and have a Willie Will Win Party.
BTW I am still expecting a correction and retraction for your lie about me in Post #7.
