I agree , I would love it if Harris could beat Gump Nelson . Reality is a bitter pill for some to swallow . It truly burdened me to switch my support to McBride publicly , but I refuse to strong arm my way to defeat .

That is exactly why McBride should run the best race he can .
I'll support whoever wins the primary to beat Nelson . I just think the party would be more willing to support McBride , thus making him the more competitive candidate .

I bet on the new guy. He is polling as well as Harris is against Nelson and Harris has been campaigning for almost a year now. McBride only has been running for about 2 months.
As well known and as long as Harris has been campaigning there is no way she should have as low of numbers as she does below. She does not even make 50% among Republicans in the primary. With these low numbers I much rather go for the new guy who has room to grow and continue to raise his numbers. He is polling as well against Nelson as Harris does.

McBride needs to run commercials to get his name out there . As you pointed out, he is doing very well and hardly anyone knows who he is yet .

We need to capture that undecided vote and hopefully one or both of the others will drop out .

Nevermind I just read about him, he has never won a single election and has never served in public office. It would seem his whole qualifications to be a Senator is that he is not Kathrine Harris.

In fact the best thing you can say about him is that he is John Edwards with a (R) after his name.

She is running against 3 nobody's in the political world and is only polling around 45%. McBride who nobody has ever heard of is Polling at 22%.

Harris as a known Republican who has run statewide office before and use to be a strong candidate should really be polling above the 50% mark. Her numbers are going down and the others are rising.

I think that the polling data reflects the same sort of confusion I had Will McBride/Bill McBride, It reminds me of that Eddie Murphy movie, "Distinguished Gentleman".

Wow if that is the case if Republicans will give someone who they think is a democrat that high of a percentage, just think how much higher his numbers will go up when they realize hes not the Democrat who was against JEB in 02 but actually a true conservative Republican.

Also if that is the case then Harris is in even more trouble cause Will McBride's numbers will only continue to go up as more people learn who is and that he is a conservative.

Personal injury attorney, immigration lawyer, right there are two strikes against him with most conservatives, throw in the fact that they had to put GIANT letters on the side of his bus saying "REPUBLICAN", added to his total lack of political experiance and I really have to wonder if the state party is even thinking that they can beat Nelson at all.

Against Kathrine Harris, Bugs Bunny would get the same sort of poll results McBride got. So don't read too much into any polls, especially as we all know polls are created to achieve a desired result.

The only polls that really matter take place in the voting booth.
