Hey! I'm 34, but you're right...I certainly couldn't be a politician. I call homos... sodomites,Muslims...koranimals, and demonrats...lying POS.
Public office is not for me.
To: FloridianBushFan
The only candidate in this race who can possibly do that against Nelson is Will McBride. Wow, I'm really "impressed"! It is always nice to have some "optimistic" posting here, but YOUR realities are far from mature enough!
In South Florida (Miami-Dade, Broward, WPB Counties..."McBride, WHOOOO?? Is that the same guy running against Jeb Bush???
Maybe you need to check out Ms. Kathrine Harris' accomplishments to compare the two!??!
"During her term in the Florida state senate, Rep. Harris passed over one hundred bills, including an economic development package that helped fuel Floridas dramatic rise from 42nd place to 1st place in the nation as a state to start a new business or grow an existing business; a significant increase in teacher salaries; and stiffened penalties for white collar crime and for crimes committed against the elderly. Cognizant of the tremendous economic benefits trade could bring to Floridians, Rep. Harris laid the strong foundation for Floridas preeminent campaign to win the Permanent Secretariat for the Free Trade Area of the Americas (FTAA), as well as working toward the unification of the Gulf region through the enhancement of investment, trade and tourism and cultural exchanges. Rather than taking cover in the aftermath of the 2000 election controversy, Rep. Harris took the lead in the push for comprehensive election reform. In 2001, she testified before the U.S. House Administration Committee and proposed legislation that became the blueprint for Floridas nationally acclaimed Election Reform Act. In 2002, as the reform movement waned in many states, she successfully proposed and achieved passage of historic civil rights legislation in Florida that forcefully addresses the exclusion of persons with disabilities from full and equal participation in the electoral process."

He is still garning 22% in the primary and Harris is only polling 45% in the primary. Harris has wide name recognition and McBride has none. Tells me McBride is doing something right in this short time span and Harris who has been running for almost a year now is not doing something right.
=
Here you get REAL name recognition from the White House, very, VERY close to President Bush!!!
Hmmmm???

I'll just lay out what I think. I can't believe how negative these Harris threads are. Going in IO wondered whether Florida was ready to elect a woman, and I wonder now if this is the underlying hostility.
To: JulieRNR21
I do not know how to respond to this information except we should find who leaked this letter (or who provided false info about it) . .
Personly, I think 'the rat, is with The Press here ! !

'At least USmcobra accurately described Katherine Harris as "a woman whose only did what the law called for during the 2000 election.' Do not ignore the real, deeper truth here behind this simplistic view. Yes, Katherine Harris "simply enforced the law". But do not ignore for a minute the sad truth that many, many other political officials, if faced with the same month-long barrage of attacks that Ms. Harris did, would have either folded or washed their hands of the matter. Ms. Harris did not, and that is the point being made by her supporters. To assert otherwise is disingenuous at best.
Cheers.

"McBride is a personal injury attorney who is claiming to be an immigration lawyer. That's a bad start." Ouch! If that's true, "a bad start" is an understatement. What do you have to say to this, FloridianBushFan?
The fact that McBride was dredged up by the Florida GOP at the 11th hour to compete against Harris also smells quite rotten.
There is something quite amiss within the RNC and Florida Republican party.

Which quite honestly, would make her a better Senator then we could ever hope for.
The ability to perform well under pressure, particularly political pressure of the worst sort, is worth more then in the senate then the ability to win personal injury cases.
Bottomline, she has been a strong representive and will be a stronger Senator.

This poll is among likely Republican voters...In the general polls with all voters included McBride still polls at on 10 or 11 percent...One thing you McBride supporters will notice...The Harris supporters do not make a habit of bashing your candidate...To bad the same can be said of some of you...Now if you have a problem with my comments on the GOP and their lack of support for Katherine....Then take it up with me instead of Julie...I have made an issue out of it...I can more than handle the heat...One thing that you McBride supporters are doing is totally turning me off him ...I have pointed out that he is a trail lawyer and a immigration lawyers...Those are stated facts...When it comes to the candidate who has a conservative record of fact...Then Katherine Harris stands far above the crowd...It is just every thread the same Harris bashers show up....

I never accused her personally I said You all meaning the hardcore Harris supporters. I have explained that several times if you or her can't accept that then sorry about that. You know I wonder did you even read the whole thread or just get called in here by Julie to start trashing me personally. I see you all waited till after I left for the night so I couldn't defend myself how respectful of a couple of ladies. You don't know me. I have already stated several times that I should have put the other names on. I do not not go into threads and start bashing Harris. I state the facts. And anything I have stated about the Harris campaign can be proven wrong then please do so. But do not accuse me of bashing Harris. I have never personally attacked Harris and you all know I have not. I have gone into threads defending her from people who have truly bashed her and called her names. I state the facts and face reality. I opened up my eyes it seems, you all have not. I never said you all were a bunch of dumb hicks that is you saying it not I.
It appears you are the one here doing the bashing. You are the one doing the name calling. His name is Will McBride not Kid McBride. I don't call Harris names or attack her so how about you showing the same respect.
Excuse me it is my personal blog and I can have whatever I feel like having on there, It is none of your business what is on my blog. It appears all you did was look at the front page. If you actually read the blog entry's then you would see there is only one entry about McBride. And in the past I have stated in other entry's very good things about Harris. If I am actually promoting anything on there besides conservative values and the GOP it would be the Fair Tax since that is what I have the most entrys on. But I can see you didn't bother to do your research did you. Tsk tsk whats that? I have not put any for profit ads on my blog and if I did who cares. It is a yahoo website blog so you know that Yahoo is going to have advertisment on top of the page. There is nothing anyone can do about that. How about doing some better research.

Really in the polls I stated McBride gets 20% of the vote going against Nelson, Harris only gets 22% and that is among all voters not just Republicans. So McBride is a lawyer big deal. If we choose not to elect any lawyers then there would be nobody elected to office since majority of the people elected to Congress are lawyers.
Show me where I have ever personally bashed Harris? You can't cause I haven't. I have only made comments on her campaign and the way it is bing runned. I have states several times that the blame belongs to everyone, The GOP , media and Harris. Harris Supporters are unwilling to admit that Harris is part to blame. Whereas in a few posts up above there is someone doing name calling on McBride.

It is high time for dirty politics and unethical leaks to be set aside so that the issues that impact peoples daily lives can be addressed, continued Congresswoman Harris."
Makes one wonder about those who are allowing this to takes place along with those who are the actual perpetrators. Anyway, you keep on doing the right thing Harris. These people are scared out of their wits, otherwise there would be no need for them to attack like a rabid dog...
To: FRONTLINER
How can you equate a primary vote to a third party vote ? Because you're tossing away your vote to the weaker Republican. McBride doesn't have Harris' name recognition, record, or political willpower. He's a kid trying to play politician. He's too green for a seat on a city council, much less a United States Senator.
To: Mase
They'll kick his teeth in. How naive must you be not to see this? Nelson and the Dim machine will eat this kid alive. He doesn't know who he's dealing with. Harris does. That's the difference. Harris has the guts to take on the Senate RINOs. McBride doesn't - assuming he wins (the proverbial snowball's in Hell chance here) - Senate Dims and RINOs are going to move him to the Left. He'd sell-out and will instantly become another Hagel or Chaffee.
To: FloridianBushFan
About his age um John Kennedy was only 36 when he was elected to the US Senate. Uh, today's 30 somethings are not the 30 somethings of yesteryear.

Eactly right.....she's proven her metal in withstanding the Dems & liberal media attacks & smears and she has a strong record of support for conservative values.
She's become frustrated that often what the House passes get thwarted in the Senate. She wants to be in the Senate to change that.....and her vote as Seantor will make a difference because Nelson pretends to be a moderate but votes with kennedy, kerry & klinton!
