I think there is some concern Harris could hurt other GOP candidates in Florida, which is why Jeb spoke out, for better or worse. I am not sure what it accomplishes, unless it is a precursor to some white knight dropping into the race, which I doubt. In any event, the Florida senate seat itself isn't in play.

This is true. The belief is that Harris would GOTV for Democrats. But if she's going to lose very badly, then that would work in favor of Republicans because Dems would not bother.
