I hope that McCulloch can make this a serious race. Bingaman usually wins on the basis of his opponents' weaknesses, not his own merit.

Sadly, the best we ran against Bingaman (with the exception of Harrison Schmitt, the sitting incumbent in '82) was the late Colin McMillan in '94. If Gary Johnson wasn't so nutty on his drug stances, he could've been the one to take this seat back.
