Campbell did not win the debate.

The undecided voters in the room left supporting Gilchrist. I know that for a fact. I talked to most of them, and they left loaded down with Jim Gilchrist materials.

The audiance was reflective of the listeners of the John and Ken Show, who tend to be Conservative Independents, and dislike the Republican Establishment and support Conservatives outside or on the outside fringe of the Republican Party, like Gilchrist. From the start of the debate, not only was John and Ken for Gilchrist, but they and the audiance were clearly cheering and unfairly routing for Gilchrist. I have listened to the debate, and the points at which Gilchrist attacked Campbell were mostly unsupported fabrications and exaggerations against him. As for policy discussion, Campbell was far more indepth into his beliefs, history and plans than Gilchrist, while Gilchrist seemed to just be riling the Partisan audiance, which he clearly packed with his own supporters. At times Campbell would state positions that were almost identical to Gilchrist's own, and the audiance would either say nothing or even boo, when had it been Gilchrist speaking they would have cheered and clapped. Campbell was a good sport, kept his cool, and I believe won the debate on what was said, nevertheless, however by the audiance reaction (which means nothing considering it was a partisan Gilchrist audiance) you might have thought Gilchrist won.
