Are there no limits on campaign contributions in Virginia?

There are no limits. However, once the total amount of your contributions, both cash and in-kind, goes over $100 in an election cycle, the contributions have to be included in the candidate's finance reports.

Thanks.

I was used to the $100 trigger for declaring because we had that in Delaware. I was a bit shocked at the 6 figure contributions I saw here this morning. Legislative races are limited to $600 and statewide to $1,200 per election cycle in Delaware.

You'll get used to my seemingly dumb questions - 20+ years in Delaware politics is hard to discard after less than 2 years in VA - I'm still learning and ask LOTS of questions.
