Hmm. You cited James Baker. Do you have any reference links where I can read more on that? It kinda surprised me. I've thought of him as being involved in negotiations between the two sides, but I have never thought of him as having an anti-Israeli interest?

Perhaps some of they Muslim groups that endorsed W in 2000 thought he would have an anti-Israel foreign policy along the lines of his father's administration when James Baker was Secretary of State.

Yep. Their bad. I expect that Gore-Lieberman would have been more compliant due to liberalism and a desire not to be seen as "Jew controlled."

That's probably true. All with the exception of perhaps the Iraqi's in Michigan?

I've noticed that during this election most of those groups are going with Kerry mostly likely because they know he will sell out Israel to the UN faster the he will the US.

I still can't understand Netanyahu's opposition to the withdrawal, though I'm admittedly ingnorant on the subject. It seems withdrawal is the first step to formation of a Palestinian state. I see that as a good thing because once there is an officially recognized state of Palestine and they continue with their nonsense of terrorist attacks then an official declaration of war can be made. as it stands now that cannot be done, which is one of the reasons I believe that the PA doesn'r really want a nation-state of their own. they seem to find a way to sabotage peace agreements every time!
