:o)
I think Alan will be looked at as an aberration, a defeat attributed to his campaign style rather that issues. However if I'm wrong and people look to the issues, a 30 point loss isn't going to advance conservative issues.
Yes, which doesn't impact either his poor campaign style or your sidekicks slander a bit.
Obama was in Wisconsin this past Sunday, stumping for Russ Feingold. If one of Keyes's objectives was to keep Obama instate rather than travelling the country campaigning and raising money for other Democrats, then he has not been successful.
Alan's base is there for him. He's got a million plus of them lined up and fired up.
But where are the RINOs?
Too busy whining and complaining to worry about campaigning against Obama, or donating, or rebuilding the IL GOP they broke...
I like Keyes alot, but he's a poor politician. He'll lose by 40 pts or more. Obama is the dim's fair-haired boy, and will thump Keyes handily. And while Keyes has made several of his own miscues, the IL GOP is a loose-knit band ot nitwits.
Ah, style over substance, eh?
Yes, which doesn't impact either his poor campaign style or your sidekicks slander a bit.
I don't have any 'sidekicks'. Don't know what you're talking about.

It doesn't 'impact' because you don't listen too good.
Alan Keyes kicked Obama's *ss on style AND substance. If you didn't come to the game with some sort of weirdly malicious bad attitude towards Keyes, you would readily admit this.
No he won't. You're just repeating the other side's spin.
It amazes me how many good folks have allowed themselves to be totally manipulated by the MSM in this case.
Your Macon County coordinator, the one posting the vanities, 1smallvoice or onesmallvoice, whichever you prefer. You know perfectly well who I mean.

As you also know I started posting as a Keyes supporter and certainly don't have any malicious attitude toward Keyes, unlike his supporters who defame anyone who might suggest he's a lousy campaigner up and down these threads. If he loses he's got no one to blame but himself.
Oh, no. Republicans who spent the whole election cycle criticizing Keyes instead of Obama couldn't have ANYTHING to do with it...nah...
/sarcasm
Ah, a realist.
Well, my friend, there are times when the reality is that you have to fight for what is right no matter the odds. This is one of them, and Dr. Keyes is doing a fine job of keeping the faith.
Well, since I'm not Jewish, Israeli, or Muslim, I fail to get your point.
I noticed that he's not responding to my request to explain what it says.
Time will tell whether he is a closet Muslim or not.
Welcome to Free Republic.
See post 55.
Yes, I hadn't seen it before replying from most recent message.

Old people aren't there. The handicapped aren't there. Women aren't proportionally represented.
A free country doesn't need a slave army.
Do you know of a better candidate?
Yes I do. Ryan would have done better... and did, even AFTER the moral scandal surrounding his divorce from actress Jerry Ryan.
My belief is that most of the anti-Keyes jackals here are afraid that Alan is going to take away their porn and dope, and that he won't let them kill their girlfriends' unborn babies. Am I wrong?
Yes you are and for several reasons: Most of the folks here are not users of pornography or drugs and are not of the age or inclination or moral character to have a pregnant out of wedlock girlfriend or wife kill a baby for them. But they are turned off by keyester kampaign operatives painting all who are not mesmerized by Alan's less than stellar campaign... as such.
And yes, you are therfore flat out wrong. And your comments reflect poorly on the nature of your candidate, who I have supported in hard currency. As a result, my inclination, based on you and the other "alan is our savior" pack of 'rino hunters,' is to never send him another dime. Never.
Congratulations and kudos for your expertise in driving away the base. "The republican party never gave alan the support he needed," is the next course in this sickening meal of defeat in Illinois. What a great 'grass roots' strategy you have all exhibited! Drive away the base, blame the leadership and slur supportive and good Christian people as immoral, drug-addicted, baby killers. Are you actually TRYING to get Alan down into the single digits on November 2? Just keep it up.
Finally, I am not so sure that jimrob's ardent support of Alan's campaign extends to personal attacks and such extreme mis-characterization of fellow freepers, as drug-addicts and baby killers, just because they may not not see Alan or his 'message' as highly as you and his supporters seem to think they should.
Blaming other Freepers, fellow republicans and the party leadership won't turn Alan's currently failing campaign around. Only Alan can do that. And if the past is evidence of the future, we can be confident, he won't.
That is not a happy thought. It's sickening.
I'm not talking about all Freepers, just the anti-Keyes crowd. As I said to Sinkspur, they're mostly libertines and RINOs with a handful of conservatives.
Thanks for clarifying it.
I want obama to lose too.
