1. No. But Ronald Reagan taught me "A man who agrees with me 70% of the time is not my enemy." Or, to quote another Bush supporter who is a Democrat "If you agree with me on 7/10 issues, vote for me. If you agree with me on 10/10 issues, get a shrink." - Ed Koch. Also, strangely enough, I like GWB, who signed the damn thing. (Yah, yah, I know, he thought it was going to be struck down as unconstitutional, but still)

2. Yes. It's not helpful, if anything, it'll backfire and hurt Bush, and even if it's true that he did get his metals falsely, it can't be proven, and just casts doubts on others who have gotten them ligitimately. The focus should be on his Senate record.

Discuss issues all you want. I voted for Bush in the 2000 primary season, and I'm glad he's president and not McCain, but that said, I don't have any real problems with McCain. I agree with him far more then I disagree, but I like him. He's tough, a loyal soldier, and he keeps us on our toes. It's better that we have a united front then squabble over a few minor things.

Your point number 2. Mathematically speaking: 3 Purple Hearts, 1 Bronze Star, 1 Silver Star. Mathematically, how many veterans of any war in history, has ever received such --an amount of service recognition, for an active service that totaled, four months -- if you don't count two months on a ship before being assigned -(or ordered onto)- the swift boat on the river> Tops, its around six months, isnt't it? Think about it.
