Old poll. And who needs Istook when Tom Coburn is just what the doctor ordered?
Sorry for the pun. But I'm not kidding about Dr. Coburn; he would eliminate Carson's advantage in NE and SE OKlahoma and win with at least 53%.

Dr. Coburn would be an excellent candidate; I plan to vote for whoever is on the GOP side of the ticket in November. But I'm afraid he's not as well known in the OKC Metro area as Humphreys. Humphrey's also has the backing of the GOP establishment it seems. I hope Coburn has plans to campaign heavily in the West & North OKC/Edmond area, which is where most of Republicans in the state are. Whatever happens, a Carson win would be the worst possible outcome. He would be one of those Senators who would say one thing to the home folks, then vote with his liberal buddies up in D.C.
