All true. Bush should crush any one of these losers. But do you really think the media will allow it? They'll continue to hammer W on everything and anything, no matter how silly, irrelevant or untrue. They'll twist, distort and fabricate whatever they need to to make W look bad. Look at the way they've been desperatly trying to pin some scandal, any scandal, on him since before the last election even. The subliminal "RATS" ad, cocaine, arsenic in the drinking water, high gasoline prices, the (Clinton) recession, Enron, unemployement, budget deficits, Sept 11th, post nasal drip, sun-spots, and on and on and on and on. And of cousre the entire time the dem candidate will get a free pass on everything, not to mention legions of cheerleaders at the national dailys and the networks. There's three things that'll make this close, or cause him to lose: 1-some disasterous unforseen future event. 2-people who support him that vote against him or stay home and don't vote because they disagrre with him on one or two issues (these fools think a dem would be better on the very issue they're pissed about) 3- the mediawhore will deliver a "late hit" as George Will calls it. Look what they did to Schwartzenegger (just as Will predicted). They tried it in '00 with the 30 year old DWI. This time it'll be much worse. Not that they'll find anything. They've been looking for years and all they could turn up was a 30 year old DWI. This time it'll be an outright fabrication the Friday before the election. In time for the weekend news cycle. A week later it'll all be proved to be BS but the damage will have been done. Don't underestimate the dems or the media (although I repeat myself) and never underestimate the disgusting measures to which they'll stoop. Never underestimate the media. it's the dems only hope.

My advice to see is to simply know who or what you are reading or watching or listening to. That will help you filter. You have pro Bush, anti Bush and a whole lot in between out there to pick and choose from.
Also don't despair. Bush has the bully pulpit and will use it. As President every thing he does is news worthy, the pretenders have to actually do domething to get on the news. In the short term at least they will attack each other to get attention.

Press has been decent to date (cudos to Jennings for his question Wes Clark). We'll see how it goes. If we can get them to bite, like we did in 200, when the lazy fools actually ran with the "I invented the internet" story, then we will indeed win in a walk.
