Jim Bunning is rested and ready and has raised $4.2 million for his re-election campaign.
The DSCC took the unusual step of endorsing Mongiardo before the filing deadline. Guess they didn't want people to realize he was their last choice to run. All the stronger challengers (Jody Richards, Jonathan Miller, Steve Henry, even Charlie Owen) looked at the race and have apparently decided they have better things to do than lose a senate race.

[Mogniardo] said the departure of Arnett and Dixen did not stem from a shortage of money. He said he had hired two other employees, whose last names he could not recall, and said they are probably being paid less totally than Arnett and Dixen were.

In calling Bunning's office, I was told that Bunning opposes Bush's radical amnesty proposal. Bunning will get my vote again.
