How many Republicans really believed on the eve of the 1992 Iowa caucuses that Bill and Hillary Clinton would control the White House and the U.S. national-security apparatus for the next eight years?
I thought President Bush (41) was a weak candidate and out of touch. He had already squandered the political capital gained after the historic route of the Iraqis in the Gulf War. I don't have those feelings about W.
