Dan, Borling wouldn't stand a chance in the general election, so even if he's slightly more pro-gun than Jack Ryan (which I don't know if it's true, since Jack Ryan is against increased gun control), 2nd Amendment supporters should stand behind Jack Ryan. If Borling beats out Jack Ryan for the nomination, the end result would be Dan Hynes or some other liberal Democrat replacing conservative Republican Peter Fitzgerald in the Senate. And even if the RAT nominee comes out in favor of erecting a monument to Osama bin Laden next to the Picasso at the Cook County Courthouse (if you've seen The Blues Brothers, you know what I'm talking about), which is the only chance Borling would have of winning, a pro-abortion, pro-military draft "Republican" gets to keep the seat warm for whomever the RATs nominate in 2010.
