Sometimes you wonder what voters are thinking when they go into the voting booth. So many of them think that taxing businesses and the rich will fix all the problems. After the businesses leave the state, they wonder why the jobs are no longer available. Duhhhhh

Like most of the social downfall in California, this attack on business through taxation intensified during the 70's too, imo. I remember one of the oldest masonary companies in our town was shut down because it was too difficult to keep up with all the taxes and perks given to his union employees. What a farce it is when companies are put in a position of having to hire illegals who don't declare the earnings or pay the taxes in order to keep afloat! It's just wrong.
