I disagree, once the bullet is out of the gun you have to engage the battle or lose the war. You've missed my point, I think. I didn't mean to imply that Rush should have caved in afterwards. I agree with you on that. My whole argument has been that the bullet never should have been let out of the gun in the first place.

Even so, do you think he could have presented his case differently? The more I think about it, I think this is the classy way to expose racism. He was very subtle, and he did it in the context of what it is: an effort by the media to make themselves feel good (i.e. "social concern"). When Jesse Jackson cries racism because the NFL doesn't have enough black coaches, the media isn't up in arms about it, but that is because the media doesn't have to be introspective. They nod their heads in agreement and decry the "inequity" of it all. If anything, Rush was being too kind. Besides racist, I would lump the "coward" label on them, as well.

This may or not be directly on-topic but does anyone remember how certain media reported that the Dallas Cowboys were the first team to have a totally black starting offensive line? They reveled in it. A very progressive move by the Cowboys. I said so what, just win. If they were the best ones on the team, great. If it was a PC move by Jerry Jones, that's another matter. BTW, did anyone notice how the perky Katie Couric acted on Wednesday's Today Show? She looked absolutely severe and appeared to want Rush's head on a stick. Looks like the libs are comming out with well honed knives to get at Rush. As for Warren Moon, he may have been a big fish in the CFL, but not so big the NFL. ALso, is the PC-controlled NFL going to have to change the term for running atempts from RUSHing?
