Nope, it was his wife's lover who got his weenie whacked in the front seat of a Buick, as Garp rear-ended the car at night.

My bad. It's still a horrible thought.

Oxford Dictionary. Not Cambridge.

From the book "The Professor and The Madman."

These are tree type daturas as I recall.
Very powerful.
Very beautiful large white trumpet shaped flowers, nocturnal bloomers and highly scented.
Used by shamans to travel(fly) over the earth, etc.

If God were female, she'd have put a man's penis on his chin...

And she would have made something else taste like chocolate syrup.

Judging from their stance on the WOT, they chop off their testicles too.

Thanks, your memory is better than mine--I actually got to attend a lecture by the author of that book (I forget his name.) His newest book is about the first person to draw a geological map in the world--(he was a milk salesman in England that got no credit by the formal Geological Society in London, even though that original map is amazingly accurate even today--the reason the author mentioned "The Professor and the Madman" was because his publisher wanted to find an equally insane person to write about--probably way more information that you wanted to know.

The author was Simon Winchester. I read The Professor and the Madman a couple of years ago. I almost wished I hadn't. It was a good book, but when I got to the peotomy part, it made me feel ill. Maybe if I had known what Minor (the "madman") did to himself beforehand it might not have bothered me so much.

I haven't read "The Map That Changed The World." But I did see Winchester on C-SPAN talking about his new book, "Krakatoa; The Day The World Exploded." His lecture about the book was very interesting and I will probably read it sometime. I had heard of the Krakatoa eruption but I didn't realize just how massive it was.

Ben Franklin wrote that the temperature in the US averaged 17 degrees cooler that year (don't know how true that is, but it is possible.) I plan on reading that book too--when I heard his lecture at an AAPG Convention, I wanted to buy the book and get it autographed, but they were sold out by the time I could try to get one.

What? You mean drug laws DON'T STOP this sort of thing????? No... That just can't be..... The Police Staters told me so.

I see, so by your logic, Murder and Rape should be legalized to because, lets face it, they happen even though illegal as well.... Please... go back to your high times magazine.. because your argument only holds water to those bubbling the bong.

The usual definition of murder is killing SOMEONE ELSE.
The usual definition of rape is an attack on SOMEONE ELSE.
The clown in question managed to hurt ONLY HIMSELF. (Although one might argue that his parents are hurt, that's not relevant).

You might notice a distinction.

You might also notice the absurd statement I was responding to.
