not just military photos. I believe there is a market for lots of old photos. You might try searching the net and your local yellow pages for "photo restoration" and other photo studio services. Digitizing photo albums, photo archiving. That might give you some idea of what's being done already, how it's marketed, how much they charge, etc. Good luck!

Nicely done. I'm sure theres a market, but research who the competition is first. I know there are a TON of photo-restoration businesses on the web , because a friend of mine considered going into that business a while back and I helped her research it. What you've done here is a nice touch and I don't recall seeing anything quite like it out there, but check it out.

Thanks!

Appreciate the input.
:-)
Did your friend decide to go into the business?
BTW- This is only one of the many templates I plan to come up with. That (I hope) is what will put me into a unique niche- the ability to come up with unique templates.

I can see from your portfolio you can add a real twist to basic archiving, along the lines of your old signs idea.

Yeah, old stuff had always been of interest to me, and you rarely see things that are supposed to look old (clocks, nick-knacks, etc) that really look old, at least in my opinion.
If something is supposed to look old, I don't see why they can't get it right. Yellow varnish, rust, water spots, dust. That's what I like to simulate.
Thanks for the feedback!

Did your friend decide to go into the business? She's still looking at it and considering producing album slide shows on DVD and VCD also.
To: Leroy S. Mort
Yeah, since I got the new Mac I have DVD capabilities also. Really cool stuff.
I'm just trying to focus on my "niche market" till I get going.

What a wonderful idea.
Yes, I think there is a market for this!
To: SerpentDove
I would definitely be interested in something like this for both of my veteran grandfathers.

I will freepmail both of you when my website is up.
The image here is my Grandfather. I am very proud of him. He has very poor hearing since he shot guns from a ship at Japanese Kamikaze planes.

That sounds a lot like my maternal grandfather who served as a Navy Seabee in the Pacific theater. His hearing has gotten progressively horrendous throughout the years and we finally convinced him to get hearing aids last year.

What do you think is a fair price, and what do you consider too high?
A silly question, it might seem, but I am honestly doing my goofy form of market research.
