To say the least. Beaver Falls. I'd think at her age it would be the other end from the beaver doing the falling...

This story is just for you, little shyster:
A dad walks into a market with his young son. The kid is holding a
quarter. Suddenly, the boy starts choking, going blue in the face. The
dad realizes the boy has swallowed the quarter and starts panicking,
shouting for help.
A well dressed, attractive, but serious looking woman in a blue business
suit is sitting at a coffee bar in the market reading her newspaper and
sipping a cup of coffee. At the sound of the commotion, she looks up,
puts her coffee cup down on the saucer, neatly folds the newspaper and
places it on the counter, gets up from her seat and makes her way,
unhurried, across the market.
Reaching the boy, the woman carefully takes hold of the boy's testicles
and starts to squeeze, gently at first and then ever more firmly. After
a few seconds the boy convulses violently and coughs up the quarter,
which the woman deftly catches in her free hand. Releasing the boy, the
woman hands the coin to the father and walks back to her seat in the
coffee bar without saying a word.
As soon as he is sure that his son has suffered no lasting ill effects,
the father rushes over to the woman and starts thanking her saying,
"I've never seen anybody do anything like that before, it was fantastic.
Are you a doctor?"
"No," the woman replies..."Divorce Attorney."

I'm baack. It is still raining, but the thunder and lightening has passed over. I hope hubby didn't have a client come in late (he gets off at 4:30), because the low water crossings will be flooding soon if it keeps raining. He'll end up being stuck in one of the beer joints on the way home otherwise till the water goes down-oh, the horror (not)!

Is the weather holding good in Jacksonville? It would be a shame for rain to spoil your getaway.

It sounds like hell week at a sorority for you with the start of school and work. Hope you get some rest and that next week is better, with everyone settled into the routine.
Hubby will call if his little Miata can't get through the puddles, and I'll take the Blazer and meet him. He is very well trained about being on time, or calling if he's running late. I hope it doesn't come to that today, though-as much as I'd like to kick back and have someone serve me a beer, I've got a really nice dinner planned, and a lovely bottle of Merlot to go with the steaks and other fixings. Tomorrow, we're going out to that really nice restaurant on the waterfront to smoke our American Express card with dinner, candlelight and wine. I hope the band playing there tomorrow night is country and western-I'm in the mood to go two steppin'- "Amarillo by morning, up from San Antone"....

I have already picked up a couple of stocking stuffers, but that's it. Jiminy crickets, it's only T5's b-day, which means we're months from Christmas!

The forecast calls for overcast skies when we should be getting to the festival (which I assume is outdoors but is at a church so I could be wrong) and possibly some showers in the afternoon after some rain in the morning. No downpours called for though and it should start clearing out by evening by the time we get back to the hotel and go out to the pool or the beach. It says "isolated thundershowers" for sunday. We are probably going to hang around until 2pm or so Sunday. It's not perfect weather, but it'll do.
