I think if you spend time reading the posts on this forum you will find your answers. You will not find the answer using the questions you posted.
Are you absolutely sure you are a liberal?
Do you believe the following?
1. Standards for admissions to universities, fire departments, etc. should be lowered for people of color.
2. Bilingual education for children of immigrants, rather than immersion in English, is good for them and for America.
3. Murderers should never be put to death.
4. During the Cold War, America should have adopted a nuclear arms freeze.
5. Colleges should not allow ROTC programs.
5. It was wrong to wage war against Saddam Hussein in the Gulf War.
6. Poor parents should not be allowed to have vouchers to send their children to private schools.
7. It is good that trial lawyers and teachers unions are the two biggest contributors to the Democratic Party.
8. Marriage should be redefined from male-female to any two people.
9. A married couple should not have more of a right to adopt a child than two men or two women.
10. The Boy Scouts should not be allowed to use parks or any other public places and should be prohibited from using churches and synagogues for their meetings.
11. The present high tax rates are good.
12. Oil companies are evil.
13. The Israelis and Palestinians are morally equivalent.
14. The United Nations is a moral force for good in the world, and therefore America should be subservient to it and such international institutions as a world court.
15. It is good that colleges have dropped hundreds of men's sports teams in order to meet gender-based quotas.
16. No abortions can be labeled immoral.
17. Restaurants should be prohibited by law from allowing customers to choose between a smoking and a non-smoking section.
18. High schools should make condoms available to students and teach them how to use them.
19. Racial profiling for terrorists is wrong -- a white American grandmother should as likely be searched as a Saudi young male.
20. Racism and poverty -- not a lack of fathers and a crisis of values -- are the primary causes of violent crime in the inner city.
21. It is wrong and unconstitutional for students to be told, "God bless you" at their graduation.
22. No culture is morally superior to any other.
23. Guns should be banned.
24. Fidel Castro is a great leader & Cuba is a fantastic place to live.
25. Private Healthcare should be replaced by socialized medicine.
Those are all liberal positions. How many of them do you hold?

"I'll be glad to answer the questions once you answer mine."
Excellent, I look forward to your answers.
"1. Do you suck you thumb?"
No.
"2. Do you still wet the bed when you get scared?"
No.
"3. Do you know who your father is?"
Yes.
"I hope these questions don't offed you. The answers will help me better understand you."
I'll take a stab in the dark and guess that your questions were rhetorical, but if there was a point to them I missed it completely.

I answered yours, now please answer mine
1. Can the government create prosperity?
2. Do you have a right to someone elses earnings or labor?
3. What is the maximum tax rate that would be acceptable?
4. Do you drive an automobile
5. Are you rebelling from something?
6.Are you uncomfortable with public displays of religiousity?
7. Isn't better for children to be raised by two parents, a mother and a father?

Here is a good explanation for you, I cut and pasted it from another thread:
To: optimistically_conservative
To me it means you probably believe in freedom and it's inherint optimism! Free markets, free enterprise, free speech, freedom to own (and control all types of property), freedom of religion (not from religion), freedom from excessive taxation and regulation, etc., etc., etc.!!!
How's that???

You answered mine so.
1. Do you believe in God? Yes, do you?
2. Do you believe Reason has limitations? If so, what are those limitations? Yes. 150X300
3. Did your father use corporal punishment to enforce discipline? (Were you whipped, beaten, or spanked when you misbehaved?) If so, how frequently? (Once per year? Once per day?) No he used the old "I'm so disappointed talk." I used it on my kids too.
4. Do you agree or disagree with the following statement: "To be morally strong, you must be self-disciplined and self-denying. Otherwise, you are self-indulgent and such moral flabbiness ultimately helps the forces of evil." Self discipline is a strong point. Self denying seems too broad. None of it has anything to do with evil.
5. Do you agree or disagree with the following statement: "Punishment is nurturing in that it teaches discipline, self-reliance and respect for authority."
Punishment is a last resort. Discipline is learned through encouragement and good examples/
6. Do you agree or disagree with the following statement: "Your poverty or your drug habit or your illegitimate children can be explained only as moral weakness and any discussion of social causes cannot be relevant."
Kind of in the middle on that one. We are influenced by environment but we also must make our choices at some point. Otherwise no one would overcome adversity. Too many paople rise above to say SOCIAL issued kept me down.
7. Do you agree or disagree with the following statement: "The highest moral good is nurturance, including empathy, fairness and protection, but not painful punishment." Agree to a point. when the first 4 fail something must be done. "Halt or I'll say halt again" is a dismal approach.
8. Do you agree or disagree with the following statement: "Obedience comes out of love and respect for the parent, not out of fear, and strength is in the service of nurturance." Fear is a bad parenting tool.
9. Do you agree or disagree with the following statement: "'Conservative tolerance for inequality' [as described by liberals], should, in fact, read intolerance for forced equality, and acceptance of the natural order of things in which inequality is generally the rule. " Blah blah blah blah. Bad question with answers too complex for the amount of time I have.
10. Do you agree or disagree with the following statement: "The modern North American liberal is 'a keen advocate of change mainly to fulfill his/her ego needs -- needs for power, influence, self-advertisement, self-promotion and excitement.'" I agree.
11. Is it possible for a Liberal to be a good person? Is it possible for a Conservative to be a bad person? YES.
12. Is morality (by which I mean right and wrong) absolute, as described in the bible, or is it relative? Absolute and relative
13. On a scale of 1 to 10, are you happy in life (generally speaking)? If 10 is happiest, I'm a 10.
14. Which statement do you agree with more: "people are generally good and trustworthy" or "people are generally bad and will try to harm you"? The first. I trust everyone until they prove untrustworthy. Exception is a person pointing gun, knife etc. at me.
15. Is corporal punishment (discipline through whipping, beating, or spanking) an acceptable practice? Not with my kids by someone else. They are grown and were seldom physically disciplined other than being sent yo their room til they calmed down.
16. On a scale of 1 to 10, do have anxiety (or fear) in your life (on a day-to-day basis)? If 1 is the least I'm a 1.5.

These aren't necessarily bad questions, but I have to wonder why you think these questions are at the heart of conservatism, or will help you to understand the conservative point of view.....
BTW, if you answer dubya's questions in his prior post and promise to answer mine as well in return, I will be glad to take your little exam.
Are you sure you're not one of those moron perfessors at Berkeley who studied conservatism and decided we're authoritarian pyschos who aren't nuanced?......they're right, of course.....
