I forgot to relate my sentence to news of the day. Sorry.
An apathetic Democrat is a better neighbor than other Democrats.
An apathetic populace is unaware that a judge in California is considering disenfranchising the military vote for the upcoming recall election.

dirt bag index is roughly translated in my practice to ttr = teeth to tattoo ratio...less than one, you have the diagnosis of dirt bag, who are frequently coffin dodgers.

I'd prefer to feign apathy about financially fixing up f**ked up fans, but Ronnie insists on getting the fans fixed frantically:
In the past week, we've had the central AC fan motor fail ($156.00); the AC fan relay fail ($62.00), her car AC fan fail ($536.00) and the overhead fan in her workroom started "clicking" suspiciously last night.
Then this morning she said the bedroom overhead fan didn't run in the N0. 2 position when she turned it on.
(24 year old house, texan - You figure it's gremlins or are they just breaking? i'm thinkning replacing the central AC, (the outside compressor is 5 years old) and gas furnace burner is 2500.00 - 3600.00; maybe more.)

I despise hotdoggers of any kind. I imagine they are just as dangerous on the water as they are on the road.
It took a lot of work, but we were able to keep the boat from hitting the rocks - my arms hurt just thinking about what we went through. I was the youngest and smallest person on board and also the only female. Me and a retired state trooper used poles to push against the rocks to keep us from hitting. Several other boats made numerous attempts to toss us a line but we had to keep them away because of the wake of the tanker would have pulled them into the rocks. After what seemed like hours we were able to get a line to pull us back to the channel and proceeded to head back to the marina using onnly sails. Sails are not permitted in the canal - but we had no choice, as we still were unable to get a response from the marina by radio.

All that crap started breaking a couple of years ago on the house we lived in in town, and we had to replace it (26 year old house). It is just the age of the house and equipment. I find it ironic that the house A/C fans are cheaper than the ones for a vehicle. The fan is always the first thing to quit on a central A/C. If your unit is still operating at peak performance, I wouldn't replace it yet. It is always wise to replace the furnace and A/C at the same time, so that you get a new warranty on both. I replaced the one at the old house with a Ruud 10 SEER 4.5 ton unit, and the two here are Ruud 12 SEER units, 4 and 5 tons, respectively. The proper tonnage ration is said to be 1 ton for every 400 sq. ft. but I like to go with about a wee bit more tonnage, say 1/2 ton or so. It really saves you money in the summer because the compressor doesn't have to run constantly to cool the house.
