Subject: Holiday Inn

With the average cost for a Nursing Home per day reaching $188.00, there is a better way when we get old & feeble.

I have ascertained that I can get a nice room at the Holiday Inn for around $65.00...that leaves $123.00 a day for beer, food (room service), laundry, gratuities and special TV movies. They have a swimming pool, a workout
room, a lounge, washer, dryer, etc. Most have free toothpaste and razors, and all have free shampoo and soap.

Super 8 is somewhat more economical and they have a free breakfast, though you usually have to walk next door for lunch and dinner.

There may be a bit of a wait to get that first floor room, but that's OK, it takes months to get into decent nursing homes. There is the Senior Bus, the Handicap bus (if you can fake a decent limp), a Church bus or van, cabs, and
even a regular bus. For a change of lunch take the airport Bus and eat at one of the fast food cafe's there.

The Inn has security, and if someone sees you drop over, they will call an ambulance. And should you break a hip, the American Way is to Sue. What more can you ask for?

As a bonus, they all have AARP and other Senior discounts.

So:
When I reach the Golden age, help me keep my grin,
Just check my old rickety ass into the nearest Holiday Inn.

I didn't do it!
He was already dead, on fire, and crazy glued to the toilet when I got to him!
I merely roasted marshmallows over him...

The Bakery

A bakery owner hires a young female clerk who likes to wear very short skirts and thong panties. One day a young man comes into the store, glances at the clerk and glances at the loaves of bread behind the counter. Noticing the length of her skirt (or lack thereof) and the location of the raisin bread -- on the very top shelf - he politely says to the young woman, "I'd like some raisin bread, please."

She climbs up a ladder to reach the raisin bread, providing the young man with an excellent view, just as he surmised she would.
When she comes down the ladder, he says he really should get two loaves as he is having company for dinner.

As the clerk retrieves the second loaf of bread, one of the other male customers notices what is going on. Thinking quickly, he orders a loaf of raisin bread so he can continue to enjoy the view.

With each trip up the ladder, the young lady seems to catch the eye of another male customer. Pretty soon, each male customer is asking for raisin bread just to watch the young woman climb up and down. After many trips, she is tired, irritated and thinking she is really going to have to try the raisin bread herself.

Once again she is up the ladder retrieving a loaf of raisin bread for another male customer. She stops and fumes, glaring at the men below. She notices an elderly man standing among the crowd of males looking up at her who hasn't placed an order yet.
Thinking to save herself another trip up and down the ladder, she yells at the elderly man, "Is yours raisin, too?"
"No, croaked the old man, "but it's a quiverin'..."

this picture is one of your best yet, Westy. Sorry I missed you today. We were up to the HOme DEpot to look at tiles and paints and more stuff to use on the house. We have the family room done, all we need to do is hang the pictures and get the furniture back in place. The we are going to paint the foyer, go down the hall, recarpet that too and then head to the bedroom, paint it, take up the carpet and put new carpet down and tile in the bathroom. The last room to get attention is the laundry room...then things will be pretty spruced up. I got some new valance curtains at

KMart..Martha Stewart...yep ol Martha..they are really

nice to and can't wait to get them up.

Will try to catch you tomorrow..

Sleep tight.

Just finished watching "Failure Is Not An Option" on the history channel. What a great story! It is the story of mission control at NASA from the beginning of the space progam through Apollo 13. It is absolutely amazing what these guys did with primitive computers and slide rules. We taped it. If you haven't seen it and get the History Channel, I recommend it highly. It will probably be repeated during the week.
