Don't think we really need many players now - unless they are Ronaldo, Van Nistelrooy or Figo.
England play Croatia in a friendly today but I don't think I'll waste 20 bucks watching the game in a bar.

The Crespo deal looks certain to go through now. Muto scored today as we beat Leicester and Crespo was watching from the stand. It was a pretty dirty game by the sound of it with three red cards - but a win's a win...
Already, the league is taking a predictable shape with Man U, Arsenal and Chelsea all unbeaten on six points.

I think Newcastle and Liverpool already are being shown up as pretenders. Shearer or Owen go down, and it's mid table for the both of them.
This will be a 3 horse race. I think Arsenal will find a way to red card themselves out of contention. Should be interesting to see how Chelski does away at Arsenal and MU, if they steal draws, it looks good.
Wednesday, MU vs Wolverhampton should be entertaining. Unless the Wolves pack it in, it should be ugly.

Yeah, we are definitely third favourites but we've still won two games without playing anything like as well as we can.

Letting in a goal on 22 seconds has to hurt for Chelsea. I am a wee bit shocked Newcastle lost at home to Birmingham, as well as Tottenham losing 0-3 at home. At least Kasey Keller can feel secure since they just dumped his backup Neil Sullivan to Chelsea.

Blackburn are a pretty good side so it's not that bad a result. At least we snatched a draw out of it.
Sounds like the Middlesborough vs Leeds game was a cracker. Boro were 2-1 up and Viduka pinched the winner for Leeds in the dying minutes.

Yeah, he was about three defeats away from the sack.
Liverpool weren't really that much better than Everton but their finishing was of a much higher standard. Rooney had a really bad day.
Good for Kewell to get off the mark too. This win could really kickstart their season.

Being a Hudderfield Town supporter means I won't be posting much good news but we did manage 2-1 against Bristol Rovers. :-)

Don't feel bad. My second team is Brentford. They lost to Port Vale and are one off the bottom of Div 2...

Thanks for the ping. After being surprised at how much I enjoyed a month's vacation from FR (the highlight of which was attending Man. Utd.'s terrific win at the Meadowlands against Juve), I thought I might be able to kick the habit for good. But having football (REAL football) threads on FR, and without the sniping from those who don't get the beautiful game, may drag me back into the fold.
I'd appreciate it if you'd continue to ping me to any threads you either start or find. And sorry about Chelsea's draw today. As a Man. Utd. supporter (though one with an open mind), you guys make me a little nervous.

It would be nice to have a good run in the league this year but I'll settle for a place in the top three, which should be fairly guaranteed with our squad.
I think we have a better shot at the Champions League and I really fancy our chances. I put my money where my mouth is and stuck ten bucks on us each way at 16-1.

Cracking win for the L.F.C (No Splitters!)
As for the blue-nosed bottle throwings twats. Nice to see them back where they belong.
