My husband and I were talking about Darrah. We've decided it's okay if she wins mainly because anyone who can win 3 immunities in a row certainly deserves to win.

I also don't think anyone would vote for an outcast over a non-outcast.

I think Darrah or Sandra will win, and I'm okay with that.

He accused her of breaking their alliance after he voted for her and broke their alliance. He did come off as a jerk.

Burton is stronger than John and so a bigger threat with winning immunity.

the look on his face when Burton was voted off was priceless

Sure, but what I loved was the look on the jury's faces when Burton was voted off. Rupert and Christa were practically high-fiving each other! Loved it!

Man, I'd almost like to see Survivor show what happens in the jury next time up, and ignore the tribe.

I can't wait to see the faces of all of them when they learn of Jon's big lie...

BTW, this is the SECOND time Burton's been kicked out. This makes him the fist, two-time loser in survivor history. Kinda neat, isn't it?

I'm sure David Letterman would bring up that fact if He were to appear again on Late Night but doubt He'll get to go to the Hello Deli again.

LOVE THIS THREAD!! I never enjoyed Survivor as much as I have since I found you guys!

What I would love to see are some of the conversations the "judges" have while they are waiting for the final episode. Surely there are cameras around to capture some of their opinions as they discuss things among themselves.

Has it ever been done before to show the people at home what the "kicked off" gang have their conversations about? (Besides food and showers that is).

Lil has been dragged kicking and screaming to the final 4.

If she wins, there is no justice in the world.

Burton's first mistake was creating Lil's doubt. He should have told her he was taking her to the final two and meant it. I believe against Lil in the final two was Burton's only chance...

Did any of you see the Early Show this morning? A couple of ladies tore Burton a new one. It was so funny. Here's a partial transcipt from the CBS site of the show:

http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2003/12/11/earlyshow/series/survivor/main588121.shtml

The Early Show co-anchor Harry Smith wanted to know, why did Burton take Jon on his reward challenge, leaving the three women alone together and giving them a chance to strategize?

"At the time, there was no reason to think Lill was going to do anything but stick to our alliance," said Burton. "We were sticking to our game, and Jon and I went this far in the game, we were pretty much guaranteed top three. Don't know why Lill would have done anything different."

Harry said he had noticed that Burton had vacillated with Lill a few times, and perhaps gave her reason to doubt him. >p> "If you saw all of the conversation she and I had, I promised her I would never lie to her, which I never did in the entire game, and I would get her as far as I could. I never said 'top two,'" Burton countered. "It was clear in our conversations that you're not going to get someone farther than yourself… So I didn't think Lill would back up. It turns out she did."

But, as Harry told him, "Your goose was cooked, pal."

A viewer who called in to ask Burton a question challenged him: "Burton, the end of the show, you said to Lill, 'I hope you can live with yourself because we had an alliance.' My question is, can you live with yourself? Because you did the same thing to her."

Burton's response: "Lill broke our alliance, and I knew that before we went on the challenge, so when I got back, our alliance was finished. So I was doing what I could to stay in the game, and she back-stabbed me, and after Jon and I helped her get up on the game."

The final irony: Burton is an Eagle Scout.

Another caller wanted to know how Burton thinks he is going to manage to get any more dates after "the whole country saw you talk so poorly about women."

Burton's response: "I believe if you watch the tape, it was Jon talking poorly. I just said they couldn't come up with a strategy. I did not talk poorly about women… I'm not worried about getting dates. That shouldn't be a problem."

And did Burton know before the rest of the world that Jon had lied about his grandmother's death in order to gain leverage to win a reward challenge? To that, Burton said simply, "To me, it didn't matter."

He is easy on the eyes, and he is a bad boy. Which of course makes him all the more attractive.

I thought him being conservative made him more attractive, and some of his antics on the show made him less so.

S'alright. He doesn't have to talk in my fantasies... ;-)

DUE TO THE FINAL SHOW BEING THIS SUNDAY,
HERE IS CUZ’S RECAP WHICH CONTAINS SPOILERS!
***
IF YOU DON’T WANT TO KNOW WHO GOT THE BOOT
TURN BACK NOW!
***
LAST CHANCE!
***
I MEAN IT!

.

.

.

.

THE PIRATES BALBOA:
A.K.A. The Fearsome Final Foursome
Darrah, Lillian, Jon, Sandra

The Jury:
Ryan O., Rupert, Tijuana, Christa, Burton

Gone t’ Davy Jones’ Locker:
Andrew, Michelle, Nicole, Ryan S., Shawn, Trish

Quit in disgrace!
Osten

Arrrrggggghhhhhh!!!!!!!
Shiver me timbers, Maties! Here be Capt’n Cuz’s quick re-cap n’ Picks for the final show.
This is gonna be a very quick re-cap so hang on to yer scabbard n’ cutlass! Here we go!

The tribe returns from Tribal Council and Sandra is pissed.
Next morning, Sandra tells us she is gonna sabotage everything in the camp.
Burton win the “little bit o’ everything” type Reward Challenge.
He picks Jonny Jackass to share it with.
Jeffy gives them a boat ride to Panama City.
Jeffy then gives Burton the keys to a new Envoy SUV.
They drive off in search of some ruins to stuff their faces.
Meanwhile back at camp, the gals plot to overthrow the evil menfolk.
Back at the ruins, the dumbo-duo bad mouth women in general and Lil, Sandra and Darrah in particular.
The next day, the gals agree to tell the men that nothing happened while they were gone.
The men decide that Darrah must go next since she is such a Immunity Cutlass hog.
Yep Darrah wins Immunity again. The men have to do some strategic thinking and decide that it’s Lill’s time to go.
At Tribal Council, Jeffy asks his typically inane questions and Jonny Jackass makes an even bigger fool of himself.
Jeffy calls for the vote.
Jeffy reads the votes.
First vote – Lillian.
Second vote – Lillian.
Third vote – Burton. Jeff thinks we can’t count cuz he says “That’s two votes – Lillian, one vote – Burton.”
Forth vote – Burton. Again, he continues with his “That’s two votes Lillian, two votes Burton.”
And the 12th person voted out is……..Burton!

It was just pure joy to see the expression on Jonny Jackass’ face change from smugness to “Oh SH!T, what do I do now?”
Jeffy snuffs Burton’s torch (AGAIN!) and as he starts that long walk of shame (AGAIN!) the camera pans to the jury who are just EATING this up! Especially Rupert!

And I have to agree with most of the posts last night! I couldn’t believe the UNMITAGATED GALL of Burton ragging on Lillian about how “She broke the alliance!” And how “She will have to live with herself.” I got news for ya bucko! She did nuthin’ you hadn’t ALREADY done yourself! So get off yer high horse, suck it up and resign yerself to LOSER status! (AGAIN!!!!!!!!!)

.

OK, OK. Enough of my ranting, on with
CAPT’N CUZ’s FINAL SURVIVOR 7 PICKS

We are down to 2 Immunity Challenges and the Jury’s vote remaining. Ordinarily, I would believe that Jonny Jackass’ time has finally come, however, the gossip out on the web has the final three being:
An old lady, Lillan
A young skinny lady, Darrah
And, a guy with a beard. by default, Jonny Jackass

Further gossip has the “old” lady winning the last Immunity Challenge and (by booting the guy with the beard) taking the young skinny lady into the final two. This means that for Jon to survive the next Tribal Council, he has to win the next Immunity Challenge, leaving Sandra to become the next member of the Jury.

So, if the web gossip is to be believed, (and I see no reason to stop believing them now):
Jonny Jackass wins the next Immunity Challenge and Sandra gets the boot.
Then
Lillian wins the last Immunity Challenge and Jonny Jackass becomes the last member of the Jury.

Now! Also, per web gossip, the final Tribal Council is touted to be a whopper, with all the members of the Jury verbally ripping one of the two remaining players. Now, Darrah has flown so far under the Radar, that at times, it’s not sure if she was even on the show, so……..

I see it as the jury ripping into Lillian for any number of reasons. The least of which is,
she IS, WAS, and ALWAYS WILL BE, an OUTCAST! And as far as Ryan O. Rupert, Tijuana, Christa and Sandra is concerned, she was already voted out once before, therefore SHE DID NOT “Outwit, Outplay and Outlast” any of them.
Also, with everything she has said and done during this show, she has proven that she is one SORRY EXCUSE OF A SCOUTMASTER!
Finally, I can see Burton and Jonny Jackass ripping into her for “Breaking” their “so-called” alliance.

So in short my fellow FReepers, It would not surprise me one bit if Darrah wins the Million Bucks with a vote of Seven to zip!

Wonder if she will let her Daddy out of his promise to buy her a “Boob job”??????

Well folks, thank you for permitting me to enter your busy lives on a weekly basis and thank you for putting up with my ranting, my raving, and my (at times) annoying crassness.
I can say that this season, has been a bigger blast then all the past seasons and here’s hoping that the All Star Season is even better!

I am forever, your humble,

Well, I'd vote Darrah over Lil any day. Actually of the 4 left, I'd vote John, Sandra, or Darrah over Lil any day.

Lil was useless and wishy-washy.

Darrah has won 3 immunity challenges in a row. That right there says something about her. She also tried to get Burton voted off 2 weeks ago, but Sandra and Christa screwed that up.

Sandra is my favorite because she is fiesty. I liked her from the first show when she was barganing with the village folk.

John is a scum, and I can't stand him. However, at least he wasn't totally clueless like Lil. He also wasn't an outcast like Lil. I'd hold my nose if it was between Lil and John, but I'd vote for John.

By the way, hubby and I think this has been one of the most enjoyable survivors. It ranks right up there with the first one. Of course, Rupert is our all-time fav survivor.

Thanks again for all the recaps. It makes this show much more enjoyable.

Way to go cuz, as always!

I sure hope it is Darrah. My wife and I randomly picked Darrah in our pool among friends. At the time I remember thinking we picked someone that wasn't even on the show. As it turns out, she has a strong chance.

Great season. Although, I've found something to like about all of the versions of Survivor. Can't wait for the all-star round. See ya, and have a great weekend everybody.

You're right. Even with The Jackass and the Return of the Living Outcasts, it's been damn enjoyable. I cannot wait for the Reunion show. That'll be the best one ever I'm sure!
