No sweat, so to speak! I just get frustrated. My apartment tends to stay steam-bathy unless I get a fortuitous wind. Normally Vancouver's OK but this summer's been unusually hot and humid.

You're right, and I don't deal with heat well either, that is why I usually like it so much here! Yuck, hot, dry, my pasture is brown and dusty.... it ain't right!

Too bad about your pasture, but it'll recover. I lived in downtown Montreal for 28 years, 15 without air conditioning, and I'll tell you even this year's humidity here still doesn't come close to the misery back East! But here, very few people have air conditioning, it's rarely really needed.

I have never had air conditioning.... My air conditioning in my truck isn't working, and I usually have been able to get away with it.... but it has been pretty miserable this year.

My house stays pretty cool, I am all treed in, so it doesn't get super hot until the residual heat of the night sinks down in to the trees at sunset.

Air conditioning in a really humid place makes you feel human instead of suicidal! Your place sounds lovely.

I take a washcloth and soak it with cold water, fold it longways, and then put it in the freezer maybe 15 min....until it is just barely still movable, not frozen solid... then I take it out and wear it around my neck. It'll drip on ya but it feels great.

That sounds good! On weekends in Montreal, before the air conditioned place, I used to take COLD baths from time to time on weekends. You only stay comfortable for about 15 minutes after getting out, sadly.
