One year around our anniversary he actually got our anniversary date confused with his ex-wife's (even though they divorced like 15 yrs ago)! THAt got him a real smack on the back of the head. The date of ours is very close to the date of theirs though. A smack on the head -- I think that most of the women in the class would demand serious diamonds for that...

"some idiot friend of mine gave one of my kids a musical instrument set from ToysRus for a bday one year. it went RIGHT BACK TO THE STORE UNOPENED. "
LOL, my son is very musically inclined. He already has a guitar, two kid drums, a keyboard, and a few other kid type intruments. He loves to play the real drums my brother has while my brother plays one of his own guitars (he has about $15k worth of guitars.) He also loves to play on my mom's piano. He was playing drums on any surface he could find by the time he was 9mths old and would (and will still) watch VH1 Video Hits channel as long as you let him. I had to stop letting him watch that though because they put stupid Christina Aguilera on there with the video for Beautiful and I really don't want him watching two guys kissing with tongue showing. Before they put her on there, they usually played decent videos that weren't too bad for a kid to watch before 10pm. On top of adding Aguilera to the playlist they also added Justin Timberlake which just makes me gag.
