What do you all think of a real rating system guys and gals?
To: Born in a Rage
Would this be a vomit-opus type thread? We haven't had a good opus in a while.
As for your suggestion, the answer is NO. Now, "Lighten up Francis"

Believe it or not, I post the same way I talk to my friends, family, etc...and they still like me. They really like me...

Besides, anyone who can spell that word you just did must be capable of so much more :-) Oh, indeed. I once wrote a song to the tune of Turn, Turn, Turn by the Byrds (the one adapted from a chapter of Ecclesiastes)... in it I used every imaginable synonym or euphemism for vomiting. It was titled Hurl, Hurl, Hurl.

Wow. I really like the idea of an FR "rating system"! Very cool
Disagree. Those who set the ratings will control the debate.
Let posters learn self-control on their own.

Are we becoming so used to seeing the word 'vomit' splashed across the latest posts that it doesn't affect us anymore? Yes, I think we are becoming desensitized to the mere phrasing...We need a graphic instead...and one that triggers a stink bomb (ya know the one that smells like vomit) to go off in your mouse.

So I take it you dont care for the double bagger description either ^ ) ?

No opus here. To post or not to post 'spew alerts', that is the question....
To: jpl
That would be a Nigel Tufnel bon mot.

Where's the barf alert on this?
Seriously though, Barf Alerts help out alot. It's easy to tell a troll from a conservative with the B.A. If there is one, it's easy to see the person is conservative. Without one, it could be thought that the poster believes in the article (which may contain pro-abortion, anti-Bush statements, etc). So it helps.
And it makes for good reading. If there's a barf alert, people become interested. And I don't think any less of the people who post B.A. or HMBAWT posts. I love the HMB articles and am on a ping list for them. I don't think less of mhking, or anyone else.
So, put simply--lighten up.

Yes. For one thing it lets us know that the liberal spew isn't being posted by some DU troll but rather a fellow conservative who understands the need to know one's enemies. No it doesn't. I've seen several liberal trolls try to sneak a thread onto the forum by adding a barf alert.

Do we really need to post articles with added extra non-news comments such as 'vomit alert'; 'puke alert'; 'hold muh beer alert'? Can people really take people seriously who post such drivel? What is the purpose?Yes, Yes and the purpose is inform others that it is posted for information not a troll article.
My other comment is the fact that it is barf alert not vomit. Only someone wanting to stir it up would post such misinformation, IMHO.

While we're at it, has anybody had enough of the pictures of Anna Kournikova that pop up all over this forum?

Neither have I.

Thanks, I agree completely. Personally, I find such language *distasteful*.
