Senior Citizens are the wealthiest greediest members of society.

Here's the problem.........you may have the best private insurance or company provided insurance........when you reach 65 the government puts you in Medicare and demands you have no other insurance. This negates the policies you may have had till then.
Rush usually has a knee jerk response to everything without a full understanding of the issue.
He prides himself on not having guests but this leads him to think he's the expert on all issues. This is a direct result of hubris and nothing more.
He has also been attacking President Bush from very early on.......originally demanding that the President end his new tone and get in the gutter with the likes of Ted Kennedy and others who were attacking the President.
I would think the 2002 elections would have put that argument to rest but now Rush is just ranting day in and day out.......and that leads Sean to the same ignorant rant.......Pity, isn't it?

You'll make it to a ripe old age because of your great attitude.
I've made it to seventy with some pretty bad habits, including smoking, and I intend to continue on in the same way.
I spend only about $5.00 per month on my one prescription drug, and I've enjoyed myself. I'll be damned if I'm goint to spend my whole life giving up things I like so I can live longer, why bother?
Keep on doing what you're doing and enjoy life!!!! You will probably make it to a ripe old age.

Dwilli: A family of four making 50 grand is not paying a heavy load of taxes.
Wimpycat: As compared to whom? I think the family might disagree with you.
I am head of a family of four, my wife stays home, and we make 50k. I can tell you specifically that I paid $5k in withholding taxes AFTER all of the deductions and my end-of-year refund. Of course that is just our federal tax burden. Let's not forget the $200 a month we pay in property taxes, then there are sales taxes, gas taxes, ad-valorum taxes, state income taxes, etc. My tax load feels pretty heavy.

Rush has said in the past that drug benefits should be means tested. By his logic you would get your drugs at my expense. The proposed plan has me paying for Rush's drugs too. Is that what you want?Ironic?
To: dwilli
Do not pass GO!!! Go directly to the Nanny state you moron. Why do you think that I get to pay for your drugs, you simpleton?
To: wimpycat
At least Rush didn't break into my house or steal my barbecue grill in order to go buy his drugs! I think he's been punished (persecuted) enough, and what an underhanded and opportunistic way to go about it!
When people start slinging mud then they often violate the legal rights of the people who happen to get in their way! Certain aspects of the investigation regarding Rush's addictions have been (from the best of my understanding) CRIMINAL!
The extremes that some people will go to in order to obfuscate the reality of the issues in this country is pretty darned scary!
*Shaking head!
