Even he started his Hollywood report with the Michael Jackson, Dixie Chicks shows and how they both came out looking even worse than before. From what we saw of the Ditsy Chicks show, I would have to agree. If I held concert tickets, I'd be out front of the stadium.. BURNING them in protest on the day of the concert. Or better yet.. asking for a refund due to their comments. They said if people BOO them at their concert.. they'll JUST SING LOUDER. I would LOVE to hear the boo's be so loud that they couldn't hear themselves. Like Hitlery at the thing with the firefighters.

Just watch, she is going to use their concerts as a platform to make even MORE outrages statements and diatribes against this President. Mark my words.

That's not quite it...What sets liberals apart from us and defines them is morality.
WE see morality as a set of laws and virtues defined by the Bible.
THEY see morality as being the length to which THEY THEMSELVES would go as to right and wrong, and not a step further until they see others whom they admire stretch the limits. THEN, it's okay to go further, and further, and so on. It's how they envision themselves as "good people", all the while they're abusing drugs, committing adultery, rewriting the definitions of "character" and "ethics" and setting horrid examples for their children through blatant dishonesty.
It's also why a man of higher integrity in the Oval Office is such an offensive, threatening thing to them. Give them more men like Clinton, who is no better than they who adore him.

"Diane Sawyer also screwed Free Republic; I saw most of the interview, and they didn't even give us one freepin' ounce of credit for all that we have done!"
No offense intended, but this aint no FReeping thing.
Not many FReepers are actually C&W fans.I base that assessment on how many times I had to explain why the DitsyChits remarks in England were the final last straw, and represented to C&W fans, a Hanoi Jane wannabe syndrome, as opposed to a single anti-Bush, typical liberal mindset remark by an airhead entertainer.
I am glad that many on FR joined in, but even had they(we) not, the DC were burnt toast.
I doubt very much that their brand of pop-bluegrass will "crossover" well in their now outed preferred genre of
...I cant even guess where they thought they could crossover too.Pop,possible, for about a week.Rap is out. Rock is out. Jazz or Blues, not even a pipedream.Classical? LOL!
The trio is now a party of one.
Courtesy of the Red, White & Blue. Most of whom have never heard of FReepers.

Why was this thread ghettoized to chat while dozens of other Dixie Chicks threads remain live in News?

No offense taken. I actually agree with you that it is a Hanoi Jane syndrome, however I do think that the freepers at least helped with the momentum. And while there were a lot of pi$$ed off C&W fans, there were also a lot of pi$$ed off non-C&W conservatives. You don't make those types of comments outside of the country (ala Danny Glover)when we are on the brink of war, and you especially don't make those types of remarks about a Texan! All in all, the only thing that is important is the end result-the price they paid for Natalie to open her big mouth. I don't think the group will ever recover from it.

I wish I knew who their bus driver was. That guy has real courage. And why are they bashing him for following his convictions? And they act like they want a parade for theirs!

I am glad that many on FR joined in, but even had they(we) not, the DC were burnt toast. Their manager doesn't agree. He blames us 100%.
To: stands2reason
That may be so, but the manager aint from around here, is he?
There is a whole sh!tload of us uneducated hick jerks who have not only traveled the world, we actually formulated an opinion on it.
It must suck to be a manager of a C&W Band, when the band forgets where the money comes from!
Us dumb hicks tend to be the best or the worst of fans.
It do depend on the content/context.
And we'all can manage to spell that, content, context, etc.
Just cause we like to drawl the words out, dont mean we think as slow as we speak.
And Natalie Maines aint Madonna.
