airbrushed, especially the waiste on all of them.

Oh yeah -- I had forgotten about that. Well that explains it. They had the mental image of themselves naked on a magazine cover burning a hole in their pockets.
One way or another we are posing naked and no one's gonna stop us! We need this. See if we can get Rolling Stone for May. No? Call EW and People.

Just to be snippy and more than a bit catty, I think that some series digital alterations went on regarding the photograped bodies of these chicks. Ain't no way that Natalie Maines has a flatter stomach than FR's own "Belly Girl." What do you think?

''It's not about the nakedness,'' the Post quotes band member Martie Maguire as saying. ''It's about clothes getting in the way of labels.''
Martie, don't let the door get in the way as it slams shut on your CD sales!"

Would someone please explain to me why it is that being anti-war means you suddenly get a desire to shed your clothing?
Regards, Ivan

Dixie Chicks Pose Nude to Get Attention . . .
Hoping their boobs and private parts will get them through a tough case of hoof-in-mouth disease, the Chicksy Dicks have posed nude on a magazine cover. Some see the move as the last desperate move of a dying career. Film at 11!

Wow!
Is that a picture of the famous "piece on Earth" I'm always reading about?
(is it me, or is the bottom of the "i" a WHOLE LOT of piece?)

I bet they are all body doubles, The skin tone and muscle tension carried down the neck doesn't mesh up, imo.

Posing nude to "answer" their critics.....proving yet AGAIN, that they have the collective I.Q. of cabbage.

I especially liked this nugget:
MAGUIRE:
I just remember listening to country music as a young girl and knowing that I wanted to play the fiddle and that's all I ever wanted to do, knowing that I'd get into country music and trying to convert people over to country music and hearing them always say oh, but it's ... no, that's redneck music, no, those people are so backwards and conservative and closed minded and this and that. And I'm always saying to these people, no, just give it a chance, give it a chance
Uh huh.

Well, she certainly isn't a FAT SLOB, digitally altered or not.
You have to agree that they are pushing it now just for the PR.

You're so right. Which is it - are they "apologizing" in the Diane Sawyer interview, or are they "taking on their critics" as stated on the magazine cover?
Looks to me like they're taking the Clinton approach - just throw out any excuse and see what sticks. Despicable.

said they posed nude for next week's issue of the magazine in response to the recent flap over Maines' remark at a London concert Of course. I see the connection. Should have printed on those bodies somewhere, 'trashy moron'.
