Isn't leftover wine cooking wine? That's what we do with it..cook..works great in stews etc.. tenderizes the meats.

Taco Update:

Well I took the lad in to the vet this morning for a workover...he did not want to go. He kept saying "meowno" and fussed at getting in the kennel. But once there he was a very good boy. Now for the results...First they sedated him so they could scope his little nose and throat. And they took chest and head xrays. The relief news is that the lungs are clear ( after the fibroscaroma that is something we always worry about). They did the scope and his throat area had stringy goopy stuff there and the sinus series shows sinus infection of some sort. So the cultures were taken and I think tomorrow we should have some results but I think he is going to be ok. Last fall he got the sneezes and runny nose etc and they thought allergy..well that got it all started I think. And then when the fur started to grow back after the surgery I think it was itchy and he groomed himself a lot so the stringy stuff has to be fur ( I thought all along it was a hairball he could not get up). So 500 bucks later....I think Taco is going to be fine.

Now another little subject...some of you may remember Rowdee...and I know not eveyone was a fan. But she is really a good sort. ( we talk animals a lot) anyway..someone in her family has just got bad news regarding health..cancer has come back. They do not know how bad or quite what the treatment of choice will be..if any...and she is kinda down. So if you could say a few prayers for her and her family I am sure she would appreciate it. She does not know I have posted a prayer request. I hope things work out for her and her family. It has been sunny here today, .38. How's by you up there? Swervie out our way????when...do you think he will like it? He will have some wild story to tell when he goes back to TarHeel country. Got to get the din din going.. Later all.

Glad to hearr about Taco. We love our little fur friends, don't we? My oldest cat, Maia, the maine coon, is now getting arthritis medicine. It really seems to have made a difference. She's moving around a lot more now, and doesn't look so stiff. Hm. I wonder if that stuff might work for me...

Sunny here today too, but windy. I do of course, remember Rowdee. Sorry to hear about the family member, that is always difficult. Have you kept in touch with her?

What is worse are the Americans who do know who he is - and who defend him and think he is a hero. Like the Seattle City Council that wanted to give him a red carpet welcome if only he would attend the WTO conference... he decided not to attend because of the Elian thing just starting - so Prez Clinton was left there by himself. He was hoping for a Fidel/Bubba photo op to make a big impression around the world and get himself in good with the UN. That's why Reno sent Elian back... they wanted to appease Castro, who was in a snit. I hate them.
