I tried it too, it does not work. Blame Geocities.
I can paste this in my browser and go directly to the picture....

But geocities is not allowing a direct image link for some reason.
It will not let me make an indirect link to it either:

You are right. I haven't upgraded my homepage in ages and this is a change in policy since I was last working on it. Bummer! I just uploaded the photo to AOL....but I'm still now sure how to make it show up at this point. I'm trying it here.
As you can see, it did not work. This is what I posted...

I think you may have made a mistake in the URL. I get a "page not found" error when I cut and paste.
Either that, or they booted you because they don't allow remote loading either, but I don't know that for sure.
