but what about the students (not to name names or imply anything of course) who already have enough As's so they don't need another one?

Robert, there is no such thing as too many A's.

OMG, if I was a restaurant critic right now, I'd be cranking out bad reviews by the hundreds!
Automatic French population control.

I would say your ego is quite inflated. But that's fine with me. Better than being uninflated. Yes, inflated is far better.

I'd make a funny face, but I mess them up so badly. I've never gotten the gist of it.

Definitely. Sparse snowfall in winter portends fires in the summer.

One of our fire experts in the great void says that a wet winter and spring forbode a big fire season. The logic being the water will increase grass growth, then with the drying in late summer more fuel, hence more fire. There is no way around it, CJ, some of it is going to burn. The one thing about a continuing drought is that if it burned last year there is nothing to burn there this year.

"Now the critics themselves are facing the criticism - accused of exercising too much power, toying with the establishments they assess and ultimately pushing Loiseau over the edge."

How very sad when critics can throw you over the edge. I would venture to guess this guy had many other problems, also.

That's like the people who say that all of the cold weather is a consequence of global warming. You can't win.

On a lighter note, our overnight low was only minus 2, so we're seeing a warming trend.

It must be coming our way. I got up to -6 this morning, but they are saying it should get to about 30 today.

For those flower lovers out there we had daffodils and crocuses peeking up right before the 30 below hit last weekend.

"That's like the people who say that all of the cold weather is a consequence of global warming."

As I recall from about 15 years ago, we were supposed to be in a global cooling. We were in danger of going into an ice age in about 500 years. Or was that because of global warming?

I am expecting frozen green tips of plants when the snow melts. Hopefully the snow was an insulator and the plants will continue growing.
