Idea! - Call a 4H club in town, and find out where those kids get the one or two fancy chickens they raise for the fair! - I can't figure out why it is so hard to buy just a couple of chicks...

I wonder where they've been??

Nibbling your garden? :) Maybe they found better digs. Wouldn't it be cute if the bunnies and the chicks romp around together?

Yeah.... that is why I don't have farm birds... bird dogs and farm birds just don't mix well!

I am impressed though, that Gidget, with her blood lust for rodents, will back off of the rabbits if I tell her no. I might - might - be able to have something around her with training.... If I did, it would be ducks.

I have to admit, I don't like birds that well, they have such a reptilian look in their eye.

'Course I admire songbirds and enjoy seeing them around and listening to them, predators and seabirds too. But the look in their eye is not particularly affectionate.

I guess I like them, but don't want a bird for a pet. Somehow a fish is Ok, though.

Now, for the update. I just got word from freeper RoseD in Ardmore that a Texas legislator is looking for the girl so he can fly her to Austin for the day. So, now, I'm waiting for Myranda to get out of school because she's the one that got the girls phone number and email.

Any news?

Get geese. They make good watchdogs and lawnmowers, although they are messy. A nasty gander will stand up to most dogs.

Of course, he might go after you, too, but then you've always got that roasting pan. :)

5:30. He must be there now. It's a shame we aren't little flys on the wall of the barn... or the fence.... or birds in the trees.

We should have told her to take a photo of herself so we could see her all dolled up.

Maybe she's having that epiphany?

What is an epiphany, anyway? Is having an epiphany similar to having a cow?

Maybe I had it for her?

Technically, by definition, an epiphany is an appearance or manifestation of God. I think she was meaning that's what she needed to re-arrange her furniture.

Somehow, I think having an epiphany and having a cow are somewhat different experiences although both would be very life-changing and exasperating IMO.

Thanks. Yeah, I had a good time but I'm tired. 9 days traveling across country with a three year old tends to wear me out. My husband was being kind this morning when he saw me and said " you look like ah, well you look exhausted" lol
