They could have easily shook their heads in disgust at his inability to focus on yes or no answers. It was annoying..sometimes it wasn't...

I figured that, but wanted to make sure. However, I still don't get it. Knowing you, there's some kind of underlying funny message. LOL

Witness: That wacky and zany 180-Frank, a.k.a. Jim Frazee Date of testimony: June 26 Date testimony is discussing: February 6 (police impound lot)

I just got through reading Frazee's testimony. Contrary to assertions made here at FR (not by you shezza, I don't think) the dogs never went in the MH on the 4th. Just around it at Skyridge. The 6th was when both Hopi and Cielo did their thing.

I've noted before that the affidavit stated the dog went around the exterior of the MH on 2/4.

Jaded, I've seen you state on several occasions that the police returned to DW's about 2:00 on 2/4.

I've just reviewed Johnny Keene's testimony and he states it was 3:30. DW seems to confirm this in his interview with Det. Redden, as he begins his interview with Redden around 5:00ish and that also corrolates to Keene's account.

Also, a detail I wasn't aware of before. The police left his house to go look at the MH at Skyridge. Then returned to DW's house about 12:30 and stayed until approx. 1:15 or 1:30.

While the police were at Skyridge Westerfield left his house. From Keene's testimony:

Q. ALL RIGHT. NOW AFTER YOU LEFT THE HOUSE YOU WENT TO SKYRIDGE TO LOOK AT THE MOTOR HOME?

A. THAT'S CORRECT.

Q. AND YOU LEFT THAT LOCATION AND THE DEFENDANT AT ABOUT WHAT TIME?

A. YOU'RE TALKING LEFT SKYRIDGE?

Q. YES.

A. AT APPROXIMATELY 11:50.

Q. AT 11:50 THE DEFENDANT WAS ABLE TO GO ANYWHERE HE WANTED TO AT THAT POINT?

A. THAT'S CORRECT.

MR. FELDMAN: BEYOND THE SCOPE, OBJECTION.

THE COURT: OVERRULED. THE ANSWER IS GOING TO STAND

BY MR. DUSEK:

Q. HE COULD GET ANYTHING HE WANTED TO EAT AT THAT TIME IF HE SO CHOSE?

A. CORRECT.

Q. THE NEXT TIME YOU CONTACTED HIM WAS BACK AT HIS HOUSE?

A. CORRECT.

Q. AT ABOUT WHAT TIME?

A. IT TOOK US APPROXIMATELY 20 MINUTES, 20, 25 MINUTES TO DRIVE BACK TO HIS HOUSE, AND I THINK HE ARRIVED WITHIN A FEW MINUTES AFTER WE DID.

End Excerpt

Cyn, isn't there more than one dog/type of dog? 180's was SUPPOSEDLY a cadaver dog. Then there were the dogs that sniffed out people. They did not hit on the MH's insides, as I recall. I think there were two of those, but I'm not sure. But I don't think those dogs got into any court testimony. Strange they didn't (IIRC).

Yeah, what are we going to do when the trial is over? I'm already bored today, because there's not many posts.

We'll all have to get "another cause" so we can stay together in threads - even if we DO fuss and fight. :0)

Frazee had two dogs, Hopi and Cielo. Cielo is the cadaver dog.

The way some were saying that dogs went in the MH on 2/4 made me wonder if there was another dog handler with another dog, but so far just Frazee is on record for the MH search. Exterior only 2/4, and at the police storage 2/6 Hopi went in and Cielo went around and did the alert on the storage compartment.

All of the above did make it into court testimony.

Maybe something we can all agree on!

Seriously, my daughter's school begins Aug 15, already. So soon I'll be busy with that.

I'm nervous and excited because I'm going to be brownie co-leader this year. I have to plan one meeting a month!! Plus I'll be teaching religous ed for the third year.

I check FR everyday though! Where would we be without it???

This was it for me Judy, I will never stay that long on a similar controversial series of threads again. I do want to stay in touch...*on lighter notes, and nicer topics*. :-D

Did you read one of my earlier posts?
It looks like I may miss the closing arguments if they don't get started tues. :(

My memory is getting fuzzy...I saw a pic of the german shepard that went into the neighbors houses. Do you remember what that dog found in DW's house?

That's what I meant. I do believe there was another handler besides the goofy one. From what I remember, there were professional dogs brought in; but they never hit on anything. I'm pinging UCANSEE2 and FresnoDA. I think one of them will know where to find that info. I don't remember if it was just on the TV news, or if it was in a news article.

I don't remember the dogs going into the VD home; but if they did, they didn't hit on anything. No dogs hit on ANYTHING - not even her body. I think I read that anyway, that there was a dog at the dump site, but never hit on Danielle.

I might be confused though. I've been so obsessed with this case that I've started DREAMING about it. Reality is becoming blurred. (grin)

I have a friend who teaches religious education to little girls. She really has her hands full, so I really admire your dedication in bringing scripture to the ones in your life. There is NOTHING more important that you could be doing!

Brownies sounds like fun. When my oldest was little, I did Camp Fire Girls for her. I always had as much fun as the kids.

As far as FR is concerned, I got tired of politics - so I usually just read the archaeological news. Until I chanced on Westerfield, that is. LOL

Thanks Judy. That is what I've been wondering in regards to the MH. It is starting to sound like Frazee and Hopi and Cielo are "it" on the MH dog search.

However, please ping me if you find out anything further.

BTW, I just read the testimony of Frazee's "lieutenant" (Reddit? I believe, I just closed the transcripts because we're leaving for awhile). She confirms Cielo's "alert" on the MH compartment. I should point out that Frazee did say the scent could be strong in the compartment but emanate from the interior, citing the ventilation system.
