More gunfire in Beit El

It was just reported that shots were fired into the Jewish community of Beit El in the Binyamin area.

There were no reports of injuries, although damage was cause to property in the area.

Good thing Bush helped free Arabfat!

I don't think he campaigned as a staunch right wing conservative either. There is nothing more I would love to see is a conservative that was able to ignore the left, but I would be dreaming, George W. Bush ran as a moderate and I don't believe he would of got much more votes than Pat Bucannon recieved if he ran on a true conservative platform. Now that he is in office it's rediculous to think that he should now all of a sudden align himself with the CATO institute and the Libertarian movement, (if it can be called that anymore) seems the Libertarian Party has hit rock bottom and showing signs of digging as of late.

I am a realist and I'm very glad he won the election and I will wait on these unsettled issues before I condemn him for them. I refuse to join the belly acher's around here who do nothing but bash this President, I could get on the roof and scream outloud over him signing the education bill, but I won't give up on him, Even Ronald Reagan had to face the fact that he was the President of all the people and not just the base of his party. And I think George W. Bush is just doing what every other republican president has had to do once elected. But I will say that I would rather have George W. Bush signing that education bill than Al Gore. And I have deep suspicions of those who do nothing but post negative articles about the president and claim they are patriots, I believe that some of them are DNC hacks trying to divide the republican party.

I laugh every time I hear a bot say that we are from the DNC or are trying to destroy the Republican party. It shows me their mentality. Most of us have been here longer than most of them. (had a different name before I was DAL so don't play that game). Go ahead attack the conservatives who are not bots. Call us names and accuse us of being "DNC hacks trying to divide the republican party." (so funny) Continue to wear blinders and worship men (or women). Bush works for the people; we don't work for him! I will let him or any other person know what I think about their decisions. I don't like his double standard on terrorism. If it was Clinton, Bush 41, or any other President, I would say the same thing because I am not a hypocrite and I don't wear blinders.

Well considering all you do is post some silly little name like "arabfat" and whatever else is the DU slang word of the day, I have my doubts about you, it's either you're a pre-teen or a DU disruptor, didn't we go through this the other night? Maybe if you woulf drop the goofy juvenile insults you might be taken seriously

"I give your man a recipe for guaranteed re-election."

If you can in fact guarantee "our man's" re-election. Why didn't you use that incredible ability to get YOUR man elected?

Luis

P.S. I hope you don't mind, but I corrected the spelling mistakes on your quote.

Long time no see. Bush-bot? Me? I think he is doing a great job considering what he has to work with.

This is one question that troubles me though. Why not push for domestic exploration? I fully believe that there is more oil in the Gulf of Mexico than Saudi Arabia. I don't know why we don't push to get it. I know that many wells have been capped out there that still have decades worth of oil, at the very least. I do personally know many conservatives that fish and sail the Gulf and most of them are convinced that opening up more drilling with just crap out the Gulf and they don't support drilling it. I think that that is a sacrifice I am willing to make, however I am just one voice in America. It's for all of us to decide.

From what I have read and heard from people I know in the business of oil, it is cheaper to get oil from the Arabs than it is to drill our own. Is that worth our dependence on them? I don't think so. But this is the only reasonable explanation I can come up with for why our billion dollar oil companies don't lobby more and push more for domestic drilling. Perhaps our sacrifice will have to be at the pump. However, I think our government could also help out by loosening their greedy grip on oil, through their taxes.

But I do wholeheartedly believe that this is not the case of Bush helping out his "oil buddies". I truly believe that Bush does what he believes in his heart to be the best for our nation, which obviously was not the case with our last pres. Yes, I have disagreed with some things he has done but I have to support the man closest to my beliefs, and Harry Browne is most definitely not that person.

HEHEHE! Big business controls the strings and always has. That is why you won't see this happen. Bushs actions are to please THEM whether it's oil or immigration! I thought he had enough SPINE to stand up to them but I was wrong.

I agree. They object to the term B---bot, yet insult and smear anyone who disagrees with them. Disagreement is one thing, personal slurs another. They should be the ones warned.

You're probably right. That said, I think Bush has missed some opportunities to get out in front of an American audience and show them that a conservative agenda CAN be a principled one. CFR is one such opportunity, where he could have spoken from the Oval Office and explained why he can't sign an unconstitutional bill. Heck, he could've even told Congress to send him a new one that meets Constitutional muster.

IMO, people will respect a leader if they believe he's acting on principles, even if they don't agree with his decisions. However, his political opposites will reject a leader if they suspect he's acting out of political expediency.

"Thou shalt not speak ill of fellow republicans" -- Ronald Reagan"

Not even if they are embracing the democrat's agenda? Sounds like defending the indefensible to me, Also sounds like clinton's disciples's approach.

Question: If you wanted to destroy an organization, wouldn't you infiltrate it, say what people wanted to hear, but, piece meal, follow the agenda of you supposed opposition? That's what I've seen happening for many years.
