Hi Rosie!
Good to see you again! Sorry that the place is still giving you the run-around interview-wise... please pardon my saying so, but it sounds like they may be suffering from a bit of cranio-rectal inversion. Just my two cents... ;)
Hope you have fun on the movie line... I imagine it could develop into a bit of a party atmosphere!

Keep an even keel baby, we are in for the long haul.... we must pace ourselves! I can't think of anything else you may have missed!

I originally put in my resume on the 4th of NOVEMBER! If it takes them two months to fill a position, how do they manage their day to day operation, I wonder?
I think the movie line will be fun, but COLD! We'll be doing a lot of jumping up and down trying to keep warm, I'm sure. Wish the theater would open early and let us in, but they've not done it before, so...

Have some tea!

Sigmund the Sea Monster from Land of the LostSigmund was not part of "Land of the Lost"... Sigmund had his own show, "Sigmund and the Sea Monsters"! It was produced by the same company though, Sid & Marty Krofft Productions. Would I believe "Sigmund and the Sea Monsters" is available on DVD?
I wouldn't have believed it, if I hadn't seen it on a website...

I believe I will! Chamomile, if you please!
Actually I burned my teapot completely up by leaving it on the fire after the water had boiled away one day...I have to boil my water in a pot!

I think the movie line will be fun, but COLD!What's the weather forecast look like? Going to see it Wednesday at 4:00 pm here... bought the tickets today, so no standing in line. Hoping that going for the afternoon show will mean the crowds are smaller!
To: 2Jedismom
Oh, it sounds like fun! The contests, especially! Think you'll win anything? ;-)
Our theater is so small there isn't even a LOBBY we could all stand in, let alone a party room! And we'll be in line at three in the afternoon, not for a midnight show. But hopefully we'll have fun just the same!
To: 2Jedismom
Trouble boiling water? You do need some chamomille tea!

Do I have my bad 70's TV shows all confused? I do don't I!? Heh... Of course... Land of the lost had The Will and Holly, and the Sleestaks.
To: HairOfTheDog
And of course
To: Bear_in_RoseBear
We can't pre-buy tickets, so we have no choice! And this is the one and only showing here that day, so it's bound to be crowded!
Weather forecast says highs of around 20 that day, but by evening it's supposed to drop down to the single digits. Brrr. I just hope it isn't windy - it was so windy today! The kind of wind that just cuts right through you.
I suppose we can huddle for warmth? ;-)

I'm hoping to win some of the trivia contest. The guy that won last year and I have had some pretty fun discussions about trivial things and enjoy discussing the books a lot. He's the guy in the picture with me here:

Funny thing is, he has heart problems too! Actually carries around nitroglycerin!

Land of the lost had The Will and Holly, and the Sleestaks. That's it! One of my favorite Saturday-morning shows when I was little...
That Cha-Ka was always stirring up trouble!
To: RosieCotton
by evening it's supposed to drop down to the single digits.Brrr, indeed! I may miss winter, but not that much... ;) On the other hand, maybe you will meet someone interesting while huddling on the line... ;)
To: JameRetief
By the way, very classy sneak! Well done!
To: Bear_in_RoseBear
On the other hand, maybe you will meet someone interesting while huddling on the line... ;) Probably...and I'll probably already know them. :-( Did I mention this is a small town?
I thought briefly about driving the two and a half hours it would take to get to the one real multiplex in the state so I could go to an earlier showing (no midnight, but they DO have a noon one, I think), but when I mentioned it to my siblings, they protested loudly because they said it would be MUCH more fun to go here where they can wait in line with people they know...
To: Bear_in_RoseBear
I liked Sigmund... Boy there were so many times the boys' mom almost found that sea monster they were hiding in the clubhouse! Whew!
To: RosieCotton
Did I mention this is a small town?I grew up in a small town (~2500 population) so I know what that is like. I've lived in a large city long enough now that I couldn't live in a small town any more... there are too many conveniences to living in a sizable city. (sigh)
