Rosie!!!!

So nice to see you! I still have my fingers crossed for the college job and I hope they speed up the interview process a bit.

I can't wait until tomorrow night. Glen and I are going to the sneak peek at 10PM - yippee. Got babysitting arranged and everything. :)

I hear we're moving to the new Hole tomorrow (tentatively), so I'm so glad to see you stop in here before the relocation.

How did you picture their legs? - I have to admit to having no preconception in my head. Treebeard is a character that I accept without being able to draw in my mind... he is vague for me!

I did read far enough to hear about your sneak peek luck. Congratulations!

I'm soooo jealous, of you and of all the people who have midnight or daytime showings! I may have to go back into hiding until after tomorrow night!

I did. I imagined them as trees. Appearing solid the whole way down, but legs.

Don't be (jealous).

I was just lucky enough to win AOL's Two Towers sweepstakes. But the passes are first come, first serve. So if I get there and the seating is full, I'm outta luck.

I don't think that wil happen though. I plan on getting to the theatre at least 2 hours before show time.

Glad you're both back. I need to pick 6 CD's from Green Linnet. I'm certainly going to get the other Lunasa CD and am thinking Silly Wizard, Bothy Band, and another Altan.

I pictured the Ents as trees and their legs would be the roots.

The trailer makes them look less solid than I imagined, but not any less cool-looking.

How about them flying Nazgul? *shudder*

I guess i would have seen their feet being roots... can't imagine their legs being roots... how do they move, LOL... and the nazgul was so fleeting, I need to see it again.

Looooong roots? LOL!

Seriously, get the trailer downloaded from TorN - it's worth every second! You can pause it and take a closer look at the Ents, Nazgul, etc. Kind of fuzzy looking, but good enough for now.

I have to log off and run a virus scan to confirm that my dad cleaned my PC effectively. Be back in a bit!

Have any Patrick Street? I like their stuff

My other favorite new CD is Shantalla. Not exactly traditional, but I love it.

I bought tickets to the March Lúnasa concert for my brother and sister for Christmas. Got myself one, too, of course. Should be great!

Yeah, just did that. The nazgul remind me of the grim reaper. The hobbits running under the horses. And Gandalf falling... that darn balrog is SOOOO big.

Gonna go see them?

I saw them (in MY little town, no less!) about a year ago. Good concert. I really like their singer's voice!

I have to admit that I pictured them a bit like trees with roots that somehow allow them to move, but still look like a tree with roots. The only trouble with that is that I picture it having to sortof shuffle along like Sigmund the Sea Monster from Land of the Lost, not taking 14 foot strides like Tolkien describes.

I imagine the trees around here (rocky mtns, not a lot of root space) after the water has washed out the dirt. So you have this massive tree, with this tangle of roots out of the ground, not much holding it there.

Those 3 day and 5 day trailers are awesome!! I just got them downloaded after going back over where you pinged me!

Wow! Anything else I've missed?

I'm maintaining, Sis...I'm glad you're here with me!

Yes, I have pictured that too... there are trees in our rain forest that grew up out of a log, which are called nurse logs. The log rots out from underneath it in time, sometimes leaving a void you can walk under. That thing would still "shuffle" along a bit... hard to look dignified when you are shuffling. And hard to look roused and angry when you are suffling. It would look rather comical to see a mad tree shuffling!
