Yeah I think he looks good. I liked the model though...too...the one with both of the hobbits on his shoulders.

I can't wait.

Do you really recommend it? I seriously could use something to calm me down. I keep going from being extremely excited to being extremely exhausted. If you think the tea would help...before posting anything really excited, everyone could say "Fetch your medicine" and I would go make me a cup prior to viewing the exciting material!

Just kidding, but just barely!

"OK, here's a story that would really get the Libertarians (sp?) here in an uproar..."

You're right, that does tick me off. Though I don't see what you can do about it, short of writing management. I'd mention you were in the service (if I remember that right). I could forgive them having stupid store policies, but I just see no justification for their rude behavior.

It's true, though, that many older people have no respect for kids. Which is probably why their kids are trouble.

Well, now to figure out how to get the hi-res trailer.

Drinking some now...

Gotta calm down! Still an HOUR until I get off and can go home and watch the trailer!

I'm thinking of doing just that. I mentioned the incident at work, and the guy at the next desk had a similar problem recently (his wife was with him when he tried to buy a bottle of wine, and didn't have her ID with her). So he's kinda egging me on. Not that it'd do anything, but I'd feel better...

It's true, though, that many older people have no respect for kids.

This is one of my bigger beefs with some of the local public school teachers. I'm aware that there are GOOD teachers in public schools, but a lot of the ones I've met here will talk OPENLY about how they hate dealing with the kids or how the kids have no respect for authority. Hmm...who do you think they learn respect (or the lack thereof) from?

Hey Rosie Cotton, I just remembered, one of Warren Buffet's famous quotes is: "You can't do good business with bad people."

Yeah, many of the public school teachers around here seem to think the purpose of school is to provide jobs, and the kids are there as an afterthought.

Have to go, see everyone later.

Hey, you were right about the animals. We just took the cat, but she got a Predisone (sp?) shot and Advantage. Since she's indoor and we hadn't seen any fleas (she sleeps with us and the dog sleeps at the foot of our bed) we figured they weren't a problem.

She also had to have her rabies shot. Today's bill: $80.00.

$80 is a bargain.... I rarely get out of the vet for less than $100, no matter what the issue!

Glad you got the Predisone shot.... a lot easier than trying to give pills to a cat, and the shot will kill the itching right away, and she'll heal pronto!

And I have found you can save yourself a bit of money if you wish by stretching the Advantage doses out to six weeks or so... I get away with that, but if the kitty is sensitive or developing an allergy, you may never be able to be completely off of it. One flea bite will start a reaction again. Advantage is a great product though! Works like a charm!

Well, we skipped the feline leukemia shot this time. He wants her to come back in about 3-4 weeks for another Prednisone shot, so we'll get it then...

Well, she's never outside, but the dog is. And I'm pretty sure we can trace all of this back to the week he was at the kennel. So it's probably just a good idea to keep it up anyway.

Well it's supposed to help you sleep so I guess it would calm you down. Catnip tea would probably work too.

Catnip tea would probably work too.

At the Youth Camp where I go,
Things are getting pretty old.
Silver thread adorns the butter,
And the bread is gray with mold.
When the dog died, we had hotdogs.
When the cat died, Catnip tea.
When the cook dies I shall leave here,
Spareribs are too much for me!

Why do I still remember that after 35 years?

Do you have other cats?

If this kitty is indoors all the time, and you don't have other cats that test positive for it, I might skip that one anyway if the vet doesn't guilt you badly over it.

It is spread through saliva, so they get it from fighting or sharing food and water dishes with other cats.

You would only have to be careful that you didn't bring it into the house with a new unvaccinated kitty.

I lost a cat to FLV... so I vaccinate mine, but they go outside. They can only get this one from other cats.

No, she's the only cat. She does share the dog's water bowl and sometimes his food (and vice versa). But I don't think she's at much risk to catch it from him.

The only way it spreads is from cat to cat?
