I think, this is the part of the road diet the lefties are pushing on us.
Reduce traffic lanes so we get such a traffic jams that people would give up driving.
They are cutting on lanes, including bus and bike lanes, or closing roads altogether.
This project would obviously took few lanes our of Park Avenue.

Yes, get rid of easy car/truck access. Close down all of those shops that must have deliveries.
Basically, turn it into a walk thru a graveyard.
