I do know that France once owned Mali lock stock and barrel. Sure this hole is half desert. But did you know that the Sahara turns green and lush every 22000 years and this lasts 4000 years?

LA Rams football superstar Puka Nacua
Nacua is the brother of Rams wide receiver Puka, who has become one of the biggest stars in the NFL over the past two seasons.
May be east coast bias, but I have never heard of this guy. (I follow football).
