Darn!
But he is the head of a major incorporation.
Ya think...
One just needs to get a sample of skull from the specimen and check it under a microscope and look for typical bone structure..could have been a prank.
Looks as if someone came at night, dropped the head into the form and dumped sacks of Quikrete, bucket of water and walked away.
Must have broken down from all of the pier pressure.
The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner announced Monday that the skull was in fact fake, the Boston Globe reported.
That settles it then, as nobody at the head office wants to likewise end up as the business end of a pier.
It does add another angle to "swimming with the fishes".
Certainly not the first time. It's not just that the discovery account of the Boston Stone muller (in the old foundation area, back in 1835-36 when its pair of stones were reunited and placed as the head of the corner) is analogous to the midrash about Esau's head rolling into the Cave of the Patriarchs (Patrick -- a good Irish name)...
The Blackstone Building is also the place of the skull on the other side of the building, to the left of Adams Convenience (here's street view of the place and its coconut signage):
กะลา
Kalā
coconut shell --
Etymology Compare Malay and Indonesian kelapa (“coconut”).
กะลา • (gà-laa)
coconut shell
เกล้า
Kel̂ā
skull, head, hair
Compare Malay and Indonesian kelapa:
Hebrew: קליפת קוקוס, klipat kokos, because a shell/husk/peel is a klipa
And "galal" is a root involving rolling and heads, like the origin of "Golgotha", or the root galah of "Goliath".
It (ג-ל-ל) overlaps and integrates with the galah root (ג-ל-ה) meaning to reveal, like the meaning of the exile.
This is all old homework so I'm just tossing it out as-needed.
The simple connection point of a coconut shell to a skull/head is its face-like appearance, coco + nut:
Etymology 1
From sense 2 (“skull, head”), because of the resemblance of the fruit to a grinning face.

You get the idea..
Workers find ‘skull’ encased in concrete at Boston pier
It's something that has really turned heads.
Kinda looks like Hoffa!
This will probably show up on one of the future “Boston Blue” episodes. I stopped watching “Blue Bloods” because they were writing their episodes based on recent news stories. Won’t watch this spin-off either.
I think the details of this ‘mystery’ are mandible, er, manageable.
