I’m from New Mexico. Grew up next to and married into, the Mescalero Apache tribe. Wife’s a Medical doctor.
Excepting the Zuni and Navajo reservations, race has never been a major problem here. Or Hispanic or no Hispanic. Or Apache or no. I was the QB for the Mescalro football team in high school. (I look like a blue eyed Viking.)
It’s the land of buffalo soldiers, Jesse James, cowboys, oil, prospectors. Comanche raids on Apache. And vice versa. Tough people. Too fricking hard to live to be racist.
As the Californians took over Sante Fe, government spending (1/8 adults work for some government agency) and welfare (1/5 residents) it’s spiraled out of control.
Abject hatred among races. My family has been here long enough that I have a direct ancestor who died in a shootout in Lincoln (James gang). My wife’s family has been here since before recorded history.
We’re thinking of moving a little east to Texas for good. Don’t want our daughters in this mess.
Same exact land. Different laws and leaders.

Don’t be concerned. California, Oregon, and Washington pick up the slack as illegals take jobs on the entire left coast. It all evens out...with a lot more.

“They pee in the pool.”

Jasmine Crockett was elected by Texas it show how bad it’s getting it was a wonderful state too.
I grew up in Atlanta n the 1960s, at a time when incredibly racist democrat Lester Maddox was governor. My whites only second grade class toured the state capitol and went into the governor’s office. I recall that a rope was pulled across the door and a group of black school children took turn peering in and listening to our tour guide. My teacher later explained to us that the governor did not allow blacks in his office during tours. The only blacks allowed were the cleaning staff who came in during the evening.
lL 1961-2013 Daley-Madigan-big gov feared any change as it would threaten their control.
GA 2013-2025 less gov. More individual decisions and many more small changes with no centralized control of Stu’s quo.
