Hunting rounds don’t exit in soft tissue. It also look like it bounced off his vest which would absorb some of the energy. I don’t know what the guy used and don’t know if there was an exit wound.
“Hunting rounds don’t exit in soft tissue.”
You have evidently never shot any kine of rifle. He used a 30.06, the kind that disintegrated JFK skull and soft tissue.
Don’t you remember the magic bullet, the one that supposedly went thru Kennedy, Connally, and was found pristine condition on the floor. I cite that to counter the ridiculous claim that hunting rounds don’t exit soft tissue. Wow, just wow.
There is a lot of controversy about whether or not Charlie was wearing a vest.
I am not an expert at all—but the consensus here seems to be that he was not wearing a vest based on comments of those close to him.
This 14 minute video on him wearing body armor is very good.

However, can anyone explain that a 30.06 slug can penetrate someone’s neck but not exit, captured by one little vertebrate?
However, I am fairly certain the above is not what was revealed by the autopsy. I have not seen the autopsy, but I recall hearing Charlie Kirk’s wife mention what she saw, and it was not anywhere near as pristine as the above implies.
Bullets can and do strange things inside of bodies. Anyone who has shot some big game animals can attest to this.

The bullet was not an expanding bullet, but a full metal jacket bullet, typical for military (and surplus) ammunition of the time.
The bullet was not in “pristine” condition but had rifling marks and was a bit “bent”.
But that is just from memory, and memory is fallible.
Some hunting rounds do not exit soft tissue. There are too many variable to consider to say one would or would not have done so in this particular case.
How much soft tissue? What type of bullet, by name and brand? What cartridge with what load? There are thousands of combinations possible.
You are probably the only person in the world who claims that a high-powered rifle slug will not exit soft tissue. You should be proud to be so special. You also need counseling.
“...anywhere near as pristine as the above implies.”
Where do you people come from, with your heads three feet up your ass. I was sarcastically referring to the JFK assassination and the stupidity of the so-called pristine bullet that was found lying around and supposedly had gone thru three bodies.
The point was that high-powered rifles blow holes in anything the round enters.
The point was that high-powered rifles blow holes in anything the round enters.
Exit wounds for expanding bullets are usually much larger.
Lots of high powered rifle bullet enter a body and do not exit, leaving only a smallish entrance wound.
I know this from person experince in hunting deer and pigs, from what I have seen of game shot by other people, and from extensive reading about ballistics, game shooting, and bullet construction.
This knowledge is not secret. It is easily found in books on the subject, there is a lot of it available.
For example, bullets often act in strange ways after they hit bone.
Some bullets are designed to penetrate only short distances; some are designed with maximum penetration in mind.
There are hundreds of designs.
Here is a short description of a few of the different bullet designs for hunting game.
https://www.themeateater.com/hunt/big-game/ask-meateater-what-big-game-bullet-should-i-choose
Having shot hundreds of head of big game. Then having seen hundreds of heads of big game shot by others.
With calibers from 22LF to 460 Weatherby.
Having used the 30-06 on game for over 5 decades
With many dozen of different bullet designs. It is possible for bullet from a high powered rifle not to exit the body.
Bullet design is critical how it preforms shot angle muzzle velocity impact velocity all play a role.
Once it leaves the muzzle different factors all play a role in what happens when it hits a target.
For awhile I used a 125gr Serria at 3200fps out of one of my 30-06’s.
It would enter leaving a 308dia. hole mush every thing inside and not exit.
Killed fast but without a exit hole blood trails were iffy.
I decided a tougher heaver bullet was better.
So without knowing a lot of specifics saying a bullet from a 30-06. Well always leave a exit wound or hole.
Is wrong.
If you really think that a high powered rifle slug will be stopped in its track by a puny human neck then you are insane. Totally, completely insane. I gave the example of what it does by reminding what we all saw what it did to JFK’s skull.
Being insane has nothing to do with with it.
Having been in Law enforcement for over 3 decades I seen what bullets do to human bodies up close and personnel.
I don’t have to relied on pictures.
Having studied actual autopsies.
Having shot hundreds of head of big game having seen hundred of more shot.
Having butchered many of those. while doing studied the wounding effects. Of many different calibers and bullet types.
I might have a bit more experience and knowledge then someone. Claiming a picture tells the whole story.
Feel free to post your vast knowledge and experience.
So I can bow down to your superior knowledge.
Yes. You’re right. I have obviously never shot a deer or elk or pig or a goose or a duck with my 30-06. Ever. Or my 308. Or my 223. Or even my 17 varmint rifle. Never. And that’s how I have never known a well designed hunting round will not always leave an exit wound once it expands in soft tissue because they are specifically designed to expand in soft tissue and not go through like ball ammo.
So this probably means Charlie Kirk is really alive and the queer who shot didn’t really shoot him is living in Argentina or something. A conspiracy....
I wouldn’t say there is a controversy. It looks like the bullet struck twice. If not a vest maybe bounced off his collar bone. Regardless. The man was assassinated by a democrat party foot soldier. Why it would be wrapped up in a conspiracy makes no sense. The democrats have embraced, encouraged, and celebrated their violence.
So, have you ever shot a person through the neck, great white hunter?? You know, the human neck, known throughout history as being the most vulnerable to attack and can easily be crushed with bare hands. Shooting a round thru a thick bodied deer, hog, or mid-point thru a goose is a bit different, and I think you will have to admit that.
And just how did that 30-06 have the ability to explode JFK’s skull?
I refused to look at Kirk’s assassination, but I accidentally did see a picture of the instant of impact and there were nothing to see but his distorted face.
“So this probably means Charlie Kirk is really alive and the queer who shot didn’t really shoot him is living in Argentina or something. A conspiracy....”
That sentence means you should not try to be creative.
A conspiracy?? You bet, since some people on the internet named the day of his assassination. But I bet you have drunk so much Koolaide you have a pants-wetting fear of the word conspiracy.
OFFS. Go outside and touch some grass.
Oh, when you have nothing to say, you come out with nonsense.
Go touch grass, dude.
Flake off dude.
