This one showed up in the suggested vids this morning.
Post Covid?
Get over it. Taxes on the house I grew up in in NY State are $3,000 per year
Three thousand per month before any living expenses
That’s been so for ten years or more
Covid?
This bill maher guy is like all the loud mouths. So uninformed. I love to listen to Tim Dillon but only because he makes me laugh. He is uninformed. Pretends to be knowledgeable. Not a clue
The people in NYC just elected a communist jihadist. They’re drowning
Thanks for posting.

? $36/year is a lot.
I would move high school education online.
Would you like us to end Severe Autism’s expensive ‘education’, which in our view is pointless, and use that money to buy life insurance on you so he’ll have a trust fund for his financial support when you pass.
I’ve seen Texas referred to as “Y’all Street.”
You rent houses from the teachers’ unions in New York State.
“surge in Florida’s real estate market”
My part of Florida now looks like Northern Virginia when I left it.
It’s best to rent if you’re really rich. Ask Musk.
A lot of rich have poor taste. Don’t learn decorating the expensive way.
😆😎🤠💰
In my view the Republicans are too stupid to fend off communism.

I can only give reference to the house we lived in for 22 years in upstate NY (Cap District.)
In our case, our last tax bill before we escaped NY 4+ years ago was $980/month for a total of $11760/year ($46.12/$1000 of assessed value). That was for a house which was assessed for tax purposes at $255,000, so it wasn’t a really expensive home, normal for the area.
But, there are plenty of homes in the Capital District that are in the $500,000 - 750,000 assessed range, so while $36K/year would be on the high end, it’s not improbable and in fact, very likely for certain homes. Granted, different counties and school districts have different tax rates, but we were in one of the ‘mid’ range areas.
The Capital District of NY is two and a half hours north of NYC, and the areas closer to NYC (Westchester County, e.g.) have higher values and rates, so $36K/year for property taxes in NY state is not uncommon.
Compare that to where we live in North Carolina now - it’s a resort area, so the tourist taxes provide the majority of the local government funding. Here, we bought a home that now has a tax assessment of $537,500 (just got a county-wide reassessment last year), and our property taxes are $2350/year, or $4.37/per $1000 of assessed value.
In one of the better-off school districts in W Mich, they've had some classes online for years, I suppose there would be an attendance problem, but that would be on them and their parents. Moving *all* public ed online probably makes the most sense -- no more separate facilities, no more bus fleets, etc, and a good pretext to fund a fiber buildout to every nook and cranny. This particular spot got fiber because of *this guy*, but I promise not to be bitter. 📚
My pleasure.
I think you don’t believe me
Again. bill Maher is uninformed. This is not a post Covid. He lives in a home more valuable than this. He’s out of touch. His income is out of touch. He needs to do some work
Straight from Zillow, a house down the street:
Property taxes
$3,238
Do a Zillow search
If you think that’s yearly then you need to realize taxes here in this flyover town average $5,000 yearly
NY State property taxes are not $3,000 per year
$500,000 - 750,000 Range. In DC
No
They’re that is this silly little flyover city
DC you can’t touch a good house for under a million. No way
No, I simply wanted clarification. In series, the two statements are contradictory.
What 2 statements are contradictory?
For that matter, I wouldn’t have to wear much more than a shirt, and comb my hair, if I were a kid now and went to online school.
Get one of those touristy foregrounds where ya just put your head in the opening and ya wouldn’t even need a shirt...
Boy, this is sounding better by the second...
Maybe a cardboard cutout version of myself to fool the camera...

The two statements in series are contradictory.
Our property taxes in California are about $7K/annum but then we're under Proposition 13 having built 30 years ago.
