Better to cut taxes and cut spending and put some towards the debt.

There are indeed boundaries “beyond which one should not / could not go”.

And also are the many established, settled boundaries that have been contrived to keep folks in line, firmly planted on the plantation.

Beyond is the hope of 2000 years.

A good idea is to augment SS with tariff revenue. That would make SS solvent forever.

A better idea would be to pass a bailout, pay out everyone's SS account "balance", and then get rid of it forever!

“As a widow living on one Social Security check and with medical bills I can’t pay I’ll gladly take it. Some of you people sound rich, but not all of us here are doing so well.
I started paying into Social Security when I was 15 years old. I worked hard all my life and I’m struggling”

I worked hard all my life, served in the military, paid my taxes, have no criminal record and am in remission from cancer. If the government had invested social security money instead of spending it, I would be comfortable now instead of struggling. Is the 2K a good idea? If applied carefully.
